He arrived just before the bell rang and he found his seat. Everyone else was already seated and Aliyah was sitting beside him. She was wearing a girls uniform with her black hijab. Aliyah and the two boys were listening intently and paying attention to what the teacher was saying. As tg e lesson was about to end Mrs Dinah told the class they have homework to complete in pairs. She started pairing off the students in the class and paired Lorenzo with Aliyah. Mrs Dinah asked them to write a joint essay entitled "The Importance of Hijab" . Aliyah invited Lorenzo back to her house as she has a lot of books they could use.

They both agreed and left the classroom.Lorenzo and Aliyah walked to Aliyah's house. Aliyah opened the door and let Lorenzo inside. Aliyah showed him to her bedroom. It was very neat and tidy. There were lots of books on the shelves and a desk with a laptop. Lorenzo sat on the bed while Aliyah went to get him some water. She came back with two glasses filled with water. She handed one to Lorenzo and sat down next to him. They talked about the essay for a while and then They heard a noise at the front door. Aliyah stood up and quickly closed her bedroom door. She whispered to Lorenzo, “it’s my pa, if he sees a boy here he will beat you! We need to think of something!” They sat quietly for a minute before Aliyah spoke again. She whispered to Lorenzo, "I have an idea! You need to wear my spare uniform and a hijab and we can convince my pa that you’re a girl!”
