Lyra draws her sword, lights her path with a little elven magic, and heads in.

The space is filled with ruined pottery, vases, and the traces of paintings on the walls, worn away by the passage of time.

She heads through many small chambers, brushing away cobwebs with her sword, the elven metal slicing easily through the fragile webs. Until she finds what seems to be the main chamber.

It's a large chamber, with a high dark roof, and the remnants of an ancient throne. What stands out most though is the cocoon, dangling from the roof. Lyra has never seen one so large.

She approaches slowly, warily, inspecting the dangling bundle of webs. She gets close, and stabs her sword into it. To her surprise, the blade bounces off. These webs are unnaturally tough and [thick.

It](http://thick.It) takes a bit of effort, but slowly she manages to cut open the cocoon, and out falls the body of a half-eaten goblin.

Before Lyra can react a voice booms through the chamber.

"That was my lunch" it speaks. The voice is strong and feminine. It speaks elven, with an accent Lyra doesn't know.

"Who are you? Show yourself!" Lyra demands, turning and looking for the speaker.

"Tut tut. Is that any way to speak to a goddess? Ah well, we'll have plenty of time to teach you proper manners" the voice responds, her tone like an empress, brimming with power.

Lyra realizes where the voice is coming from and looks up, but too late. Thick webbing falls from the roof, knocking the little elf over.

She falls onto her side, the sticky fibres wrapping around her arms and legs.

Lyra struggles, trying to arms free, to grab the sword, to get free. She screams, summoning her anger, her heart and lungs jumping into action.

But the bonds are too tough, and her captor is too quick. She drops from the roof, and lyra gets a glimpse of her. Dark skin, red eyes. Tall. Elven. White hair. A powerful toned body.

A glimpse is all lyra gets, before she feels something stab into her chest. Venom pumps into her body, and her world goes black.
