As Defender was lowered into the pit, she frantically looked for a way to escape. No matter how hard she pulled, she could not break the ropes that held her. There was no way they where normal ropes. Eventually, she stopped struggling as she was lowered well into the it and found herself surronded on all sides by the Fly Traps. Her struggles where causing her to sway. She currently had space but if she swung, she would end up in the jaws of the plant. It wouldn't last though. The plants grew in thickness below and before long, it would become unavoidable.

She had to think fast. Surely there was a way out of this. If she could just get to the floor, she could get some slack and slip her bonds. Way, space.....if she could get the jaws to shut, she could makes some space below her and avoid being eaten. She just needed something to drop on the plants below. THen a lightbulb went off in her head. Cranning her neck down, she took hold of the rope that help her cape in place with her teeth and pulled the knot loose. THe cape fell from her body and directly into the jaws of several fly traps. They immeditly snapped shut and much to Defender's surprise, started to retreat backwards. This cleared a path for her to the ground but also tore her cape apart. "Better it than me though." She thought as she continued to descend.

Once she had reached the ground, as expected, she found slack in the ropes. In not time she had freed herself. She took a moment to examine the rope. It was a green color. Must have been made using some kind of engineered plant fibers. THat must be why she was unable to break them. It was a kind of super rope. Well she was free. Now to go find Green Thumb. But first some back up. She raise her wrist to ping her location to Captain Hobbs only to find that her wrist device had been taken from her. Green Thumb clearly wasn't a fool. And she was on her turf. Maybe it might be in her best interest to get out of there and find away to call for backup. But if Green Thumb Realizes she's gone, he might disappear. She may have to handle this on her own.
