Do they call Janet?
Yes.
Janet was trying to study when her phone rang. It was Sam. She rolled her eyes and answered. "Yeah?"
Sam sounded a little weird on the other end. "Hey, Janet. How's LSAT prep treating you?"
Janet signed. "It would be a lot easier without the constant interruptions."
"Then I hate to ask this, but could you come over to Jake's place? It's kind of an emergency."
Janet sat up, alarmed. "Is everything ok?" Sam was quick to reassure her.
"Yes, yes, it's fine. No one's hurt or anything, we've just got a bit of a situation and we'd like your input sooner rather than later."
She was constantly pulling this kind of thing. "A situation? Can you be more specific before making me drive across town? Or should I just drop everything to deal with your mystery situation?"
Sam paused. She definitely sounded weird. "Uh, I mean, it's really hard to explain. Please just come when you can." Janet agreed to be there shortly and hung up.
Sam turned back to Jake. "She's coming over now. What do we tell her?" Jake shrugged. "No idea."
She laughed. "I know. Seriously, though, we need to come up with a plan. First and foremost she needs to understand that this is not in any way your fault. Now, how do we go about proving this to her? And once we've proved it, where do we go from there?"
