“It’d be silly not to.” Nora said. The two stepped into the room, taking a moment to once again look around.

The most eye catching thing was the sunken, circular, bright red, upholstered couch located in the middle of the room. A large cube shaped television sat in the center depression. Only, this tv had a screen on each of the 4 sides, the buttons being located on top. A bookshelf, minus the books, was found on the back wall, a standing lamp with a floral shade next to it. The other two walls were left bare, presumably to make room for the numerous metallic panels that covered them. The ceiling was also covered in similar panels, with the exception of the middle portion, from which a ceiling fan hung.

Nora and Molly approached the couch, walking down into it.

“Reminds me of my aunts place.” Molly said. Nora gave her a confused look. “I mean, other than the weird tv and the metal plates on the walls.”

“It’s sorta neat, in a tacky, retro kinda way.” Nora said, running her hand along the couch. “Comfy.”

Molly walked to the tv in the center, reading the buttons on top. There were a lot of buttons, most of which had nothing to do with tv. It even had a keyboard. And of course, there was the big red button, directly above them all.

“Serve. Lounge. Night mode.” Molly mumbled, reading some of the buttons out loud. “This isn’t descriptive at all.”

Molly stared at the red button, thinking for a moment.

“Nothing ventured,” Molly said, “nothing gained.”
