Yes but with a little help

This was not the night I was looking to have. Instead of making my grand debuted as a superheroine, I am instead floating in a black abyss with no way to escape. I'd probably be here until I starved to ****.....if I could even starve in this place. I hear interdimensional travel tends to break the rules.

Suddenly there was a bright light accompanied by voice. "You are clearly not of this realm." Out of the light appeared what appeared to be a man. I couldn't make out any real features due to the fact his face and body were obscured by a hood, a flowing cloak and the bright light. His voice though was heavenly. It had a serean voice, like something you'd hear on a perfume commercial.

I brought my hand up to sheild my face. "Any chance you could turn out the lights?" "Who are you and how did you get here." He said sternly. I crossed my arms and glared at him. "Who are you and what are you doing here? Did that Houdini Wannabe send you here too?" A hand came up facepalm. "Magic Man again I see. Made you disappear." I nodded. "Is that what happened you to you Nightlight?" He shook his head. "No. I am Morning Star. Master the mystic arts and traveler of the many realms." He took a bow. "At your service." I rolled my eyes. "You sound like the jerk who sent me here you know." "Magic Man and I do have a history. We had the same master for a time but he chose to use his talents for his own game. He discovered this pocket dimension sometime ago and has been dumping his victims here for some time." "Is that a fact now? Then why haven't you gotten people out of here?" He tilted his head. "You are the only one here." That fact just dawned on me. "Did it also never occur to you that none of Magic Man's "Victims" are listed as missing?" I face palmed myself. "I was able to figure out where that bastard was going to hit next yet I never realized he never actually killed anyone."

Morning Star suddenly moved closer. I winced as he did. God he was bright! "You figured out what his next crime would be? How did you do that?" I explained to him how I deduced where Magic Man was going to commit his next crime. The whole time, Morning Star's eyes never left me as he nodded the whole time. He was clearly listening. As my eyes adjusted, I started to make out some of his features. He had a very youthful appearance. Almost like a vampire.....just...you know....not creepy.

"Impressive." He said as I finished my explanation. I looked away blushing."Aww, it was nothing really." He smiled....I think, hard to tell. "No really. I with all my other worldly powers have not been able to track down Magic Man." I raised a flirty eyebrow at him. "Otherworldly powers? Such a high opinion of yourself." He laughed. "What is your name?" "I struck my sexist superheroine pose. "I'm Nova Girl. Champion of Justice." "Champion of Justice?" I pouted. "I'm new at this. Give me a break." He laughed. "Well Nova Girl, how would you like to team up? With your deductive prowess and my mastery of the mystic arts, Magic Man wouldn't stand a chance. I couldn't help but squeal in excitement! "That would be awesome!!! Let's go get him!!!" He brought up his hands. "I'm sorry but it will have to wait until another time. I have no idea where Magic Man is....unless you do?" I shook my head. "Saddly no. After he caught me at the jewelry store, he knocked me out and took me to his lair." "That's what I had figured." Well so much that. "So what do we do then?" I asked. He offered his hand. "How bout we get you out of here first."

Hesitently I took his hand. He pulled me too him and wrapped his arm around my waste. He then spoke some word I'm not even going to try and pronounce and there was suddenly a brightlight. Next then I knew, we were standing in a random part of the city. "Wow...." Was all I could say. He stepped away. I had to admit. I was disappointed that he did. I liked the way he held me. "I have many things to attend to and you've had quite the night I'd imagine. We'll reconvine once you've figured out where Magic Man is." He started saying one of those magical phrases but I stopped him. "Wait! How will I reach. You." He smiled. "Say my name into the rising sun. I shall appear to you." He then finished his phrase and disappeared in a flash of light.

Once the shock of it all had passed, I couldn't help but do a twirl and squeal in excitment. I may have become the unwitting victim of Magic Man but I GOT A SUPERHERO'S NUMBER......or at least something like that. I had better get to work on finding Magic Man but until then there, are other villians for me to go after. I looked around......and discovered I had no idea where I was......god I wish I could fly.
