He knew not the context of the MRE being ordered, for all he knew it was some dead beats living in the house who did it for shits and giggles and had zero idea the struggles people like him went through, and the last thing he was about to let happen was let himself die to let some people mock or remain ignorant of his sacrifice. Besides he recalled hearing you could get some for as cheap as four dollars so this was hardly ripping the money out of their wallet to miss this. He tore it open happy to see a familiar face inside. Mashed Potatoes and gravy, a chocolate chip cookie, and...oh baby...a STEAK?! "I'm eating good tonight, thank you lord for presenting this opportunity to me!" he said to no one in particular considering no one was around to see him as he happily dug in, finally filling his needy stomach after so long, he absolutely couldn't be any physically happier. It just felt so nice to finally not be repeatedly screamed at by his own body for being unable to eat all to much food. He became fully absorbed into eating and continuing to eat until not a crumb or stain was left inside, nothing would be wasted from this piece of salvation, not if he could help it.
