"Give me all the cash you have on hand," you tell Veritex imperiously. "I have a number of financial duties today."

Veritex stares at you, looking slightly horrified. "A-all of it, my lord? Are you certain?"

The truth is that you're not sure what exactly you'll spend all of that money on, just yet. But you want the cash, and it's yours anyway. You nod. "Of course. Come on man, pass it over."

Veritex frowns. "I hope you realize, my lord, that this will mean that you are unable to call upon the resources of your state for some time going forward. Are you sure?"

"Damn it, man, I said yes. Give me the cash."

Veritex scowls. "Very well." He counts out the coinage you require and passes it over to you, making notes in one of his large ledgers as he does so. "Is there anything else I can help you with, my lord?" he asks icily.
