Yes, yes there were.

"Hey! Leave her alone!" you hear a voice say.

You turn away from your new toy to see where the voice came from. Only then do you recall that the Wizard had been passed out against the Zone wall. She was getting slowly to her feet. She looks as though she is trying to start casting a spell.

You sigh.

"Oh, just give it up, will you?" You say.

"Never!" she screams and flings her hands forward, chucking a Fireball right at you.

The explosion that spell is known for happens much sooner than she expects. When the smoke clears, she knows why. Five Humanoid Draconic Guardsmen were surrounding her, each of their weapons pointed straight at her. And they had a wide variety too. Evidently, the equipment they spawned with was randomized. Two were standing on either side of you with bows. Two were at her sides with swords and shields, and the last was between the two of you with a spear. There had been four more of them a moment ago, but the wizard's attack had incinerated them. They would respawn soon enough, but it hardly mattered. Your point was made abundantly clear.

"Seriously, could you stop, please?" you persist, "You can't win and I have no desire to kill you."

That last part made her freeze, but only for a moment before her eyes narrowed.

"Why would you let me live? So you can make me like her?" she spits, pointing at her former companion.

You wave your hand dismissively.

"Heavens, no."

The Wizard stops short.

"Wait, what?"

"Make no mistake, I could kill you right now," you say as you stare at her, your reptilian eyes boring deep into hers, "Whether I do it myself or my Guardsmen take the killing blow, it would be of little consequence for me to kill you here and now. And the massive amount of XP your **** would give me is, I assure you, very tempting. But then, if I did that, I'd be no better than you heroes."

The wizard simply gaped at you, your words rendering her speechless.

"So instead, you are free to go. Help yourself to my mother's hoard. You can even have a turn with my pet if you are so inclined. It would only serve to humiliate her further," you say, winking slyly back at your aforementioned pet, "As cliche as it sounds, I loved my mother. She couldn't do much for us, what with how she was programmed, but she cared for us all the same. And you robbed me of her. Of her and my siblings. So yes, you will live, secure in the knowledge of just what it is you have destroyed."

You snarl at her, baring your fangs.

"And that will be your punishment."
