Chapter 19 by anxietycatalyst anxietycatalyst

Does Blake agree?

Yes, with some conditions

"I have some conditions."

Weiss nodded, barely able to contain her excitement. They might actually do this! She just hoped that Blake didn't say something like wearing bikinis instead of going naked. That'd defeat the whole purpose!

Gods, I've changed since I arrived at Beacon, Weiss thought.

"I'll go with you, but we have to wear something that covers our faces. It may not be illegal, but people will still look at us differently if they see pictures of us naked in the city."

Weiss nodded, realizing she hadn't thought of everything. That's why she was glad to have someone like Blake as a partner.

"What do you have in mind?" Weiss asked

"I'm not sure..." Blake said, thinking for a moment.

Weiss pondered this as well, and quickly had an idea.

"Halloween isn't too far off. We might be able to get some masks that fully cover our heads. That way, my hair won't be any indication either."

"I like it," Blake nodded. "Although...we'll have to wait for another night to do it, then. Are you ok with waiting a few days?"

Weiss nodded as well. "The truth is...I've been holding onto this for a couple of weeks, now. I really don't know why I waited so long to tell it to you, but that doesn't matter. What matters is I'm happy to wait, if it's what you want."

Blake smiled and took Weiss's hand in hers, the two of them standing to head back to their dorm. Thankfully, without coming across any unexpected guest stars.

..........

Much to Weiss's delight, it wasn't hard to get her hands on some masks. When she had some free time, she went into town and found a store that sold costumes.

After a few minutes, she found two that would be sufficient. One was a rubber mask made to look like a Beowolf, with the open mouth having black mesh that the wearer could see out of. The other was a copy of a mask worn by some murdered in a horror movie (I'll say it's the mask from Scream, since I'm lazy). Weiss had never been a fan of those types of movies, but the mask would serve the purpose she needed.

After confirming with Blake that they would work, she went up to the counter and paid in cash, not wanting her father to wonder why she was at a costume store in Vale. The cashier seemed a little confused that she was only buying masks, but he didn't ask any questions. He just scanned them, put them in a bag, and sent her on her way.

..........

It was a few days later. Both of the streakers had a mask on. Weiss went with the grimm, and Blake the killer. As was becoming routine for them, neither of them had anything on. Both of them had their hair in a tight bun underneath their masks, not wanting anything to stick out and give someone a chance to identify one of them.

They both stood before one of the automated taxis that served to ferry students from the school to the city. They were each grasping the other's hand tightly, almost cutting off blood flow.

"Ready?" Weiss asked, her voice shaking slightly and muffled by the mask

Ready?
