You held your breath. A smile crept onto your face as Cindy grabbed the handle of the door to the union. A quick tug pulled the door open. Cindy stepped through. Anne was only a step behind her. Even as the door closed behind them, you heard Cindy and Anne arguing loudly.

You felt your heart quicken as you saw Larry look in your direction. It skipped a beat when he took a couple steps towards your hiding place. His head snapped around when Anne screamed. He hurried through the door to the student union.

Your path was now clear. You waited a couple minutes just to make sure. When no one appeared, you cautiously stepped out from your hiding place. You kept an eye on the doors to the union. The last thing you needed was for one of your pursuers to spot you. You crossed the plaza back to Fredrick Hall. You take one last look through the glass doors of Fredrick Hall. You saw that the plaza was empty. You turned around and hurried down the corridor in front of you. When you reached room F102, you turned to the left and walked into the room. The room was empty. You made it. Now it was just a matter of waiting for the time to pass. You took a quick look at the clock on the wall. Although several minutes had already passed, you decided to wait until another hour before calling Cindy or Larry to let them know where you were.

You got bored very quickly. You crossed to the teacher’s desk and sat in the chair. Although the computer in the desk was password protected, Gary Genzel had told you how to access any computer on campus. It was only limited access. Most files and programs were blocked, but you could get on the Internet. You opened the browser. Soon, you were surfing the net…oblivious to everything going on around you.
