Yes, some new clothes would be handy.

You look down at your robe and gasp in shock. It's falling apart in front of your eyes!

You pull your hand back quickly and jump away from the ring as you see the sleeves fall off the seam and your belt simply disintegrate, and in only a few moments your robes have been reduced to dust around your feet.

"What the hell!"

You scramble to brush off the remaining dust that was your robes and start turning red quickly from being nude and embarrassed.

Somehow though you realise that any protection is better than none, and that includes an unknown thing coating your body in latex.
