Chapter 11 by RedMonika RedMonika

Does Samantha enter the top floor of the tower?

Yes, she goes up the stairs and investigates the room.

With the ceiling door slide to the side Samantha finishes climbing the last few steps of the spiral staircase and enters into a large circular room. Closed glass windows encircle the entire room and provide much natural light. The walls are painted in red and gold with the floor being polished hard wood. A large glass ball hangs from the center of the ceiling.

Near the center of the room is a large king size bed. Beautiful designed colorful silk sheets and numerous pillows make it look very inviting. The bedframe is of heavy oak decorated with numerous artistic inscriptions. Its four posts are about three feet off the ground with a small metal circle on the top of each one. At the bed’s foot is a large wooden chest, which normally would hold clothing.

To the right side of the bed is a table and chair. On the table is a large candle, a writers’ box and two books. One tome is massive in size with a scrimshaw cover. It lies on a small inclined lectern and a chain runs from its binding to the table. The second book, lying casually on the corner of the table is of common size and design.

To the left of the bed is a very large wardrobe, one in which a person could easily walk into. It has a circle of runes burned into each half of its two doors. Next to the wardrobe is a full sized oval shaped mirror.

The only other feature of the room is a small flight of stairs that goes to another sliding ceiling door which most likely is access to the embattlement encircled roof above. Though the room is neat, well-kept, finely designed and furnished the thin layer of dust that covers everything means no one has been in it for a while.

What does Samantha first do in the room?
