Kurenai doesn't turn toward you. She just stand there, unmoving. But the small minute movement tells you that she is steeling herself, making her look alright. "Hello to you too, Naruto."

Despite herself, Kurenai chuckles. "I almost had a heart attack when I heard you call him that the first time."

You walk next to her and watched the two gravestones, one the normal size, and one smaller. "You miss him," you state.

"It’s been a while, but I can't let go of the past, I guess," Kurenai said in a self-deprecating manner, while chuckling again; the laugh carries warmth and hurt in equal measure. "Furthermore, since the child never had the chance to see the light."

You nod. The shock of finding out what happened to Asuma caused Kurenai to have a miscarriage and lost the baby. "The Sarutobi clan must have been distraught as well."

Kurenai smiles wanly. "Not really, since to them, it's just Asuma's bastard."
