Do they talk during the walk over?
Yes, awkwardly
Naomi, now dressed in a normal set of clothes, walked beside her roommate who was quietly listening to her headphones. “So… you like music?” She asked unsure of her conversation starter. Gwen pulled a phone off her right ear and set it beside it.
“Not particularly, but I have nothing else to put any interest in.”
“I’m in the same boat. Although, I did hear of a few places that seem to be popular around here. You and I could try some of them sometime, if either of us can make room in our schedules.”
“I’d be down. I have nothing to look forward to. Nothing new at least. I get off work at around 5:00 so anytime I’m home late, it’s literally just because I spend so much time alone.”
“Yes. I’m very familiar with that sentiment. My friends are all in a different state and I never want to talk to my family. So try at means I’m just sort of left to myself. I spend like two hours just lurking in the women’s showers.”
“No. I would’ve found you in there already because I do the exact same time and just hide in my stall for a couple hours. As for my family and friends, I also left that all behind.”
“I think it’s clear that we both are way too introverted.”
“Naomi, you may be right. Oh look! We’re here!” She stopped at a building with a sign saying: Cathryn’s Cafe. “Come on, let’s get inside.” Gwen seemed probably the most eager she ever did in front of Naomi.
