Marie struggled hard, attempting to reach her sword before the tentacles could pull her back towards the torso that stayed attached to the cooling duct. Her fingers were just long enough, and Marie was able to grab the saber completely. Suddenly, the tentacles took hold and pulled her fast, her whole body being thrown towards the torso.

Using her momentum, Marie screamed and pointed the saber towards the creature. Unable to throw her away, Marie sailed into the creature, the beam sword impaling the monster with little effort. Furthermore, her puncturing the duct caused an explosion of cold air to stream into the reactor. Blasted backwards, Marie landed on the ground with a soft thud. Her bio-suit had protected her from the freezing cold thankfully.

The creature had been completely ripped apart due to the **** of the attack and the expulsion of cold gas. Her job complete, Marie watched as the fleshy undergrowth slowly froze and died under these new environmental changes. Grinning at her good luck, Marie turned and made her way towards the access tunnel. Samson clicked through her communications.

"I'm not sure what you did, but the reactor bypass seem's to be running again. Once you leave the chamber, I will switch the reactor on, and we can figure out how to get out of this mess." Samson sounded more jubilant then normal, and Marie could not blame him. Now to get back to the tram station, and hopefully move on!
