Chapter 4: The Crew Deck

The tram station was quiet when Marie returned to it. As she had made her way from the reactor deck to the tram post, Samson had remotely powered the reactor. The hum of the ship returned, and most of the emergency lighting had completely shut off. Marie could not express how happy she was that the power had been returned to the ship itself. Furthermore, with power back on, Samson would have better readings of the ship itself. Once Marie could see that the tram station was cleared of any enemies, she clicked the beam of her weapon off and lowered her helmet.

The engineer took a deep breath as she tried to relax. Samson's voice eventually broke the silence, and Marie listened intently. "Power readings are fantastic Marie. Good job. Since you were able to fix the reactor, I have more access to the ship itself. We might be able to move out of the shuttle bay now." The idea of her crew joining back up with her filled her with hope. Traveling alone was incredibly dangerous, especially since these creatures seemed quite enthralled with her...

"I'd be happy to get some company Captain." replied Marie, as she continued to stay vigilant in the tram station. She was unsure of where to go from here, as Samson was still working the terminal he was at. Earlier, he had mentioned life signs in the crew deck, and assumed she could meet up with Samson and the crew there. Sure enough, Samson confirmed her thought.

"We can meet up on the crew deck. Several life signs are posted throughout that deck. We might be able to rally with whoever has survived this ordeal." Marie nodded as her helmet slid back over her face. The hud clicked on with little issue, as she walked over to the tram controls.

"Samson?"

"Yes Marie?"

"Be careful..."

The idea of losing her crew to the monsters that haunted the halls of this massive ship scared her deeply. Besides herself, they were the only living crew she had encountered. Samson replied with an affirmation, and Marie boarded the tram for the crew deck. Hopefully, she could get some answers to what was going on once she arrived.
