Yes! Use a potion!

I was not about to lose to some weird, bug scientist!

Once I was able to get a clear shot, I sprayed Bulbasaur with the potion I had on hand, healing him of his immediate wounds. The immediate reaction from the scientist was one of intense anger, though he said nothing as his Caterpie continued to battle.

Once his main Caterpie fell, the rest of his team easily fell to mine. It would seem like Bulbasaur was quickly becoming my star pupil, and his attacks were strong enough to take most enemies down within a few strikes.

Once the battle was finished, the researcher let out a huff and pulled out his wallet. It was legally required to pay the other trainer if you didn't want to use their body, and the scientist was abiding by that rule now.

"Here. I can't believe some girl beat me." he sulked, dropping the few dollars onto the ground. Walking away, I watched the scientist disappear into the brush as I picked up his money.

Another day, another dollar! I would need to continue traveling through the forest if I was going to make it to Pewter City!
