Kat blearily drifted back to consciousness, indistinct but troubled dreams lingering in her head. Her face was pressed up against something warm and soft, and someone was stroking her hair. The events of the morning rushed back to her and her eyes shot open, then swam into focus on an erect nipple directly in front of her.

Startled, she jumped away from her roommate. She had been resting her head against Dani's breast while the latter stroked her hair. With some chagrin she noted the makeup smeared across Dani's right tit. Dani smiled gently. "Morning, sleepyhead. Feeling better?"

Kat stared mutely at her as her memory slowly reassembled itself. "I don't know. I, uh, I guess so?" It took her a second to realize that she was very aroused. "How long was I out?"

"A while," Dani said with a chuckle. "I think you really needed that."

Kat looked at her phone and let out a squeak of surprise. "It's 2:30 in the afternoon! I was just sitting there for hours!"

"Like I said," Dani said with a content smile, "you needed it."

"Wait, what the fuck were you doing all that time?" Kat asked incredulously.

"Nothing at all. Just enjoying myself. By the flush in your cheeks, looks like you might have been too."

"Jesus! Did you at least do something with your phone?"

"Nope." Dani's smile never faltered. "You were resting so soundly... I didn't want to wake you up."

Dani was starting to feel that unreal, dreamlike dread return. "Weren't you bored?"

"A little. But it's like having to wait behind the curtains at a ceremony where you'll be given millions of dollars. I can handle a little boredom." Dani leaned forward. Her right breast still had a red mark and a droplet of drool from Dani's nap.

Kat shook her head. "Wait, so I'm a like million dollars?"

"Oh, babe, no," Dani said emphatically. "You're so much more than that. I mean, I know - and yes, from your perspective it seems false just because it's been artificially injected into my mind - know that caring for you is most important thing in the world. Not just to me, but to everyone! So making you happy, seeing you laugh or smile or thrive at something I did- well, it's the proudest moment of my life. I literally can't imagine a higher honor than to give you a comfy place to lay your head in a time of distress."

Kat stared at the wall in numb shock. Dani sat silently, waiting for her to process what she'd heard.
