The arguments between Triss and Philippa stopped on the news of the engagement and the castle now struggled to contain the new conflict that had begun. Philippa hurt by his choice acted violently towards him but was quickly returned by Zantano who warned her of the consequences to her actions. She pushed at his buttons but he contained himself until she pushed too far and when she had she was met by his knife buried into her stomach, “Next time it’s the heart!” the room at the time fell silent and the shock in Philippa’s eyes in that instance made her both weep but also back away.
