Chapter 9 by ShadowHunterJak ShadowHunterJak

How does it go?

Yang doesn't seem to notice right away.

Weiss swung the door open with bated breath, fearing the ruckus Yang would make. Instead, all that happened in that moment was Yang looking up from placing a box on Ruby's bed. She let out an appreciative whistle. "Is that the costume you ordered? Told you that site was trustworthy." Yang's eyes narrowed. "Surely there was more though, right? You didn't just get a leotard?"

Weiss tried to suppress the blush creeping onto her cheeks. "Y-yes, of course there was more! I was in the process of getting changed into it before you came in!" To emphasize her point, Weiss bent down to scoop the tutu off the floor, feeling the leotard ride up slightly in the back. She slid it on, and gave a small twirl. "See? There's also a tiara and slippers somewhere around here."

Yang gave a polite clap. "Magnificent. I should never have doubted you, O mighty Ice Queen." She giggled at the scowl forming on Weiss' face. "By the way, I moved your shave kit to outside the bathroom door. It seemed a bit odd to find it on your desk; Ruby probably did it, so I'll talk to her about moving your stuff, ok?"

Weiss felt a small pang of guilt at the thought of Ruby being chewed out for something she didn't do. "Don't worry about it; I'll let it slide. She probably meant to put it back, and just forgot." Weiss added a dramatic sigh. "At this point I'm used to her spacey attitude."

A breeze whispered across her body, and through the thin material of the leotard, causing a shiver to run down her spine. Turning, she saw the window open onto the chilly late afternoon. Something about the notion of the outside world having a sightline into the room, and ergo her going commando under the costume, made that odd feeling settle back in her stomach. Unlikely as it was that anyone could see into the room from this high up, of course.

Weiss quickly shuffled over to the window, and shut it. She gathered the rest of her costume, and with a smile born of a lifetime of pleasantries, bade Yang a good day until they saw each other at the party later. Shutting herself in the bathroom, she stripped naked, and then put the costume back on properly. Throughout this process, she heard Yang leave partway through, with a promise to knock the next time she came back.

Putting the tiara on, she took a long hard look in the mirror, searching for any signs that might give her secret away. The silver of the slippers contrasted nicely with the white tights that covered her slender legs, molding to them in a way that made her feel proud of the years of dance she had gone through. The tights went up and disappeared under the white leotard, acting as a much needed second layer to mitigate the camel toe that would have been visible without them. The silver tutu sat perfectly on her hips, and the rest of the leotard flowed up her body, accentuating her small chest and ending a few inches above her breasts. The few inches of bared skin up to her neck was not any different than what was normally visible with her dress, but circumstances being what they were, it still made her feel a bit flustered. The tiara glinting in her hair completed the look. She was the picture perfect image of a ballerina.

Gathering her scroll and a few items she deemed necessary for the night into a small waist pouch, she set off to the dance hall to help set up for the party, desperately trying to reassure herself that no one knew, or could tell, that she was rocking the costume sans underwear.
