Yamalan, the Green Mother

Yamalan is the presiding deity of plants of every kind. It is her influence that brings forth the living green from the earth, from the smallest blade of grass to the mightiest oak. She is likewise the patron of female fertility, both among humans and animals of every kind. Farmers pray to her for rich harvests and for fertility in their livestock, and mothers pray for her blessing on conception.

Yamalan is usually depicted as a heavily pregnant woman of mature years, often with green skin and wearing a crown of living vines. Grass and flowers are shown bursting forth around her feet.
