YOUNG GHOUL: The Black Angel

Background Lore: One of my favorite films since childhood is 'The Crow' (1994) starring Brandon Lee [thx mom!] and I've always wanted to do something that paid homage to it, but could never really figure out how. That was until about a year ago when while at work, I had the thought...

"What if Eric Draven was black?!"

Combine that with my recent discovery of/affinity for Scarlxrd and the sub genre of Trap Metal as a whole and BAM! Young Ghoul was born!

This comic follows the adventures of Treyvon Young, known to his follows on Amplify [aka Spotify] as YOUNG GHOUL, a 19-year-old up & coming Trap Metal Artist from Ohio, who despite growing up in the ghetto has managed to keep both himself and his siblings out of "the life", thanks in large part to having good parents.

That all changes however when while walking home from shooting some hoops and recording a music video one evening with Darren - his cousin - and Gabriella Chavez - his Puerto Rican girlfriend, Treyvon is shot and killed for reasons that I'll leave up to you.

Treyvon doesn't stay dead for long though as he comes back to life - now as a literal young ghoul and with superpowers, most notably the power to drain people's life forces which he needs to do regularly in order to retain his humanity.

Other Powers & Abilities: Music Manipulation, Sound Manipulation, Aura Farming, Fire Immunity, Levitation, Healing Factor, Soul Absorption, Shadow Teleportation, Peak Human Strength, Superhuman Hearing, Superhuman Agility, Dream Walking, Intangibility, Sonic Scream, Telekinesis.

Weaknesses: Unless he's in the shadows, during the day he's little more than a disembodied ghost. The insatiable hunger. Electricity. Silver bullets.

Treyvon uses these abilities to become a black youth version of 'The Crow'.
