“She’s sweet. She’s so sweet,” your mom says, looking as though she might melt. You’re with her in the kitchen. She’s assembling little appetizers of smoked ham on crackers. She smoked the ham herself. Kayla, underage and not giving a single fuck, is mixing herself a mug of hot cider with a fat slug of Southern Comfort in it. “I just want to be culturally sensitive.”

“Mom, it’s fine. It’s fine,” you assure her. “She likes ham. She’s not Muslim.”

“But she doesn’t like Christmas?”

“No, she probably does. But she’s never done one before. It’s fine,” you repeat, exasperated.

“OK,” your mom says.

You leave the kitchen. Viti is on the sofa where you left her. She’s a little dazed by your home, your family, and the experience that is Christmas in America, but she’s been in America since summer. She’s pretty much used to it. You get in tight beside her and pull the throw off the arm of the couch and spread it over the two of you. She loves that and snuggles eagerly. You take a sip of her cocoa.

“My mom loves you,” you tell her. How could she not? Viti is the most polite person in the world. And she looks very cute in the plaid hoodie that you gave her. It has a sherpa lining. It’s all you can do not to hug her soft body all night.

Your mom brings in the snacks and Kayla curls up in the armchair. The small talk comes easily without Dad around. There’s a mountain of gifts under the tree. Tomorrow morning will be insane.

You check on Viti and notice something unexpected: she’s not absorbed with the Christmas spirit or with cuddling. She’s looking at your mom, and not for approval. Then she glances at Kayla. After a few minutes, you notice her subtly shifting her position.

You almost spit out your cocoa. Your mom and Kayla are not doing this on purpose, but it’s funny. They’re both busty beauties and you know that Viti likes redheads. Kayla is the worst because all she’s wearing is her ugly Christmas sweater. Viti sweats, trying not to stare at Kayla’s shapely, smooth legs. And your mom’s sweater is just snug enough that her magnificent bust is perfectly accented.

What is Viti thinking about? Is she just reacting the way you always have in the presence of hot women? Or is she picturing a triple-redhead night of magic? A little MILF action? Sister fantasy? You giggle.

“Hmm?” Viti looks at you, embarrassed.

“Nothing. Hey, Kayla. You should open this one tonight.” You lean past Viti to reach for the tree, planting your hand right on her groin and squeezing. That’s all it ever takes with Viti. She gasps and shudders, then whimpers.

“Viti?” your mom asks, looking over worriedly.

Tears shining in her eyes, and a wet patch spreading under the blanket, Viti shakes her head.

“I’m OK,” she replies in a voice that cracks slightly. You toss a present to Kayla and resume your position, putting your arm around Viti. That won’t be the last load she blows tonight. As long as she can keep her voice down.
