Xander talks to Buffy first.

After a few phone calls the girls and Xander went their separate ways. The witches decided to stop off at Jenny's to pick up some research material ("the Calendar Sex Magic Library," Anya called it, much to Jenny's annoyance. Not more than 40% of her mystical library dealt with eroticism. Okay, maybe 45%) while Xander headed over to the Summers place to meet up with Buffy.

"So, got the place to yourself?" he asked when he got there.

"Yeah. Mom's chaperoning Dawn's class trip to San Diego. They're going to the zoo, and a Padres game." Buffy looked annoyed for a moment. "She never went on many of MY class trips."

"Would you really have wanted your mom along on your class trips?" asked Xander.

"Good point," Buffy conceded. "So, what's the sitch? Willow was pretty vague on the phone."

"Well," said Xander, blushing and looking down at the toes of his boots, "this is gonna sound strange, but.... Willow and Tara had sex."

"That is strange," Buffy said. "Strange that it would bother you. I know you're into that sort of thing -- I've seen your porn collection."

"How did you find my porn?" Xander demanded. "Because it doesn't exist," he amended. "It must have been Anya's if there was anything there at all, which there wasn't." He shook his head in annoyance. "Off topic. It's not just that Willow and Tara had sex. They had sex ON MY SOFA. I was standing right there."

"So you walked in on them?"

"No, I was already there. I spilled the grape juice and it was gonna stain and suddenly there was KISSING and partial nudity and WAY beyond parental guidance and and and..."

Buffy decided this was not good front porch conversation and pulled Xander into the house. "I think you'd better explain. Can you logic this up for me or do I need to get my Babble-English dictionary?"
