XXXmas Party: Leah is Nice to Mrs. Clemens (+10 Luck)
"How do you like things so far at the school?” Leah asked with an element of sincerity. Mrs. Clemens smirked, her gaze lingering on Leah as she replied.
"Oh, you know how it is, Leah. The usual gossip and drama among the staff. But I must say, I'm quite enjoying the... perks of my new position." She emphasized the word "perks" in a way that sent a shiver down Leah's spine.
Leah tried to maintain her composure, masking her unease with a polite smile. "I'm glad to hear that you're settling in well. It can be quite challenging when starting a new role."
Mrs. Clemens chuckled softly, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Oh, I've found ways to make it more... interesting," she said cryptically, her eyes moving from Mr. Howard near one of the many Christmas trees in the house to Daniel who was near a quiet fireplace.
Leah tensed at the unexpected touch, her heart racing with a mix of confusion and curiosity. She knew there was more to Mrs. Clemens' words than met the eye. AP Kenning suddenly disturbed the moment by bursting into the living room and singing a very slurred Christmas carol.
