Wutai's Finest

The ninja agilely climbed the maze of steam beams, niftly tugging herself to the top of the final frame. She hadn't even broken a sweat, even in this Moogle costume. She pulled out a telescope, looking at the gigantic mass that was the central pillar of Midgar. She whistled low.

"Well guys ... your girl finally made it to Midgar."

Her name was Yuffie Kisaragi. The daughter of the leader of Wutai, her life had mostly been consumed by the failures of the prior generation. A costly, wasting war with Shinra that had done far more damage to Wutai, and left many residents cast to the winds as refugees. The women, as sexual servants to their Shinra masters. For the men ... well, there was good reason Wutai was now known as the land of the ladyboy.

But finally, things were on the precipice of a change. Yuffie was an elite special forces operative for the new Wutai government, created in the mold of the SOLDIERs that had so decimated her people just years before. Her goal was to infiltrate the Shinra headquarters and steal their ultimate material, by any means necessary. Only then could Wutai recapture a glimmer of their past.

A swarm of pigeons attacked her while she was distracted. She waved them off, stumbling off the beam. She used the Moogle suit to capture some of the air as she fell, cushioning her fall with the additional aid of protect materia her father had given her. She still collapsed into the dust, coughing.

"Okay members of AVALANCHE ..." she griped. "Where are you?"
