Wrangling up a loose horse

“AHHHHHHHHHH!!!” April screamed out of her lungs as she clunged to dear life on a horse that was running frantic and causing a ruckus!

“Hold on deputy I’m coming!” Texas yelled out as she chased after the two.

“Why are you doing this!?” April questioned the horse as the horse kept running around. First it was down the street, then it came back with Texas behind it.

“It’s just a simple nail clipping!!” Then the horse went back the other way

“You’ve had other nail clipping!!” Then again

“Why’s this one so different?!” And again..

“Just stop please! I’m hanging by a thread!” And again…poor April.

“Hands of my Deputy!” Texas yelled in frustration as she used a lasso to grab the horse and fight with it. Pulling the horse back clearly being stronger than it.

“Easy there! Easy easy! Easy!” Texas yelled out as she had the horse by its neck. “Easy..easy. There ya go..now come on.”

The horse follows Texas-with April falling to side with a loud “Oof!” From her. Texas guides the horse back to a stable point.

“Stay there, we’ll come back to this.” Texas ordered as she looked back to see April in slight back pain. “Oh goodness-April! You ok girl? Any bruises??”

“I-I’m ok boss..just a little sore..Ow. B-but it’s all good, thank to you.” April praised as she hugged Texas.

Texas gave a slight blush. “Aww c-come on girl..just doing my job, Ehehe..” Texas grabbed April’s arm and headed back to the office.

There, the duo found a letter on the door. “Well that’s..ominous.” April commented

Texas took the note off the door and read it with her yes slightly widening. “Roxxie?”

“Is it bad news ma’am?” April asked with concern.

“Not for us, but for her. Roxxie’s feeling a bit under the weather.” Texas explained

“Roxxie? Sick?? Oh my…that’s unfortunate. Then..why doesn’t she just come here herself?”

“She’s too weak. Needs our help apparently…” Texas explained more as April doubted a little.

“O-oh uh..gee I don’t know sheriff. You think it’s a trap..?”

“Not sure…you got medical stuff right? Bring it with ya. We’re visiting Roxxane.”

“Uhh y-yes ma’am!” April followed as she gathered her things.

The duo hopped onto April’s horse as Texas rode it all the way to Roxxie’s hideout. It was a long journey but they made it. They gave their horse water and approached the hut. Tapping the door.

“Roxxie! You there?! It’s me, Texas!” Texas called out as April stayed behind her boss.
