Working with Agent Poesy

"I'll stay with you. After all, there's no point in going it alone. But I do have one condition."

Director Dupont raises an eyebrow at you.

"I want Poesy as my partner, not as my skinsuit. I'll need someone reliable if we're going to be taking on La Dissimuler together."

"Magnifique!" Dupont claps his hands in excitement, "It would be good to have two talented agents in the field with our newest weapon but have you considered how Poesy will feel about this? You have stolen a fair few months from her."

"Good point. Let's move this to the dojo. I'll sort her out there."

Poesy was understandably furious. After you had climbed out of your home for the past months and into Rochelle's awaiting body, you had dressed her the best you could and zapped her with the black pen. When she woke from her 'slumber' and saw Rochelle standing before her, she had attacked with her full ****. But you had not been posing as Poesy without picking up a few tricks.

A jab to the left. A right hook. Rochelle’s body was still somewhat new to you but it was remarkable how easily Poesy's combat techniques came to you even when you were in a different body. Poesy was razor sharp but her abilities had bled into you over your time as her and although it was a close one, you eventually managed to subdue her in an arm bar lock. The Director then took the opportunity to show himself and calm her down personally.

The two of you explained what had happened over the past months and once her rage subsided, Poesy's expression softened and became one of subtle awe and admiration. After being her for so long and immersing yourself in her personality and memories for so long, you knew what this was. Poesy might have an abrasive and cold personality but if there was something she respected, it was competency and you had demonstrated this in spades by fooling her colleagues for such an extended period of time. Even if this competency was something you had effectively stolen from her.

"For what it's worth, I apologise Agent Poesy."

"It is okay, water under the bridge. For someone as young as me, a few months is a small price to pay for a competent colleague." She flashed a rare smile at you.

"Perfect. On another note, David, ahem, I mean Rochelle, will you be staying as Mademoiselle Tanzir? If you wish, I can arrange for another permanent identity."

You shake your head. After all, it will be much less confusing for Jessica if you don't change your 'default' appearance too much.

"Then Agents Poesy and Tanzir, I have a mission which will require the two of you and will be our first step in our counterattack against La Dissumuler. I hope you two are ready to take the fight to our enemy.

Over the past months, we have slowly gathered information about La Dissimulers operations in Paris and we think it appropriate that we root out these operatives first.”

The Director stood up and indicated for you two to follow him into a hidden lift behind him. “We have located and apprehended one such operative in the DGSE. Fortunately, they were not a member of our particular cohort so our information should be safe for the time being. “
