Words of Command: Spells to Dominate and Entrance

Francis picked up the Words of Command book and thumbed through it. The book seemed to be a listing of spells that would enslave others, or simply render them frozen, unknowing of passing time and anything that would happen while they were frozen. Other spells could put crowds to sleep, or make a few people suggestable.

Francis sat down in an old chair and started to read the book. Time passed, but Francis didn't really notice--the book was slightly magical itself, and sensing a receptive mind, it copied its contents into Francis. Three hours later, Francis was one of the most powerful mental mages ever known.

Francis had sensed the change. He now knew many spells, and he was itching to try them out. But where, and on who? At school, at the mall, at the library, or somewhere else?
