Chapter 20

Time to party like its 1999...
Wonder boy, what are the secret of your powers?
I had just finished cracking a Yingling for my good friend Chris; he had been playing corn hole for the last hour with some of Jen's friends from high school. I saw Stacy make her way to the backyard. She didn't see me at first, instead looking over at some of the people playing games. I was able to watch her for a few seconds before she realized I was there.
She had dressed in a sexier outfit than usual. White pants panted on that amazing ass, and a white spaghetti strap shirt while a corset cinched her waist to a perfect hourglass also gave her modest boobs a good boost. Just about the time I was done checking her out, she turned and found me, a smile breaking out on her face. Walking over to me, she had a delightful jiggle in those boosted breasts.
"Hey there, old man, isn't it past your bedtime?" She teased, leaning forward onto the bar, drawing my eye to her cleavage. "Like what you see, you perv!" She giggled, following my eyes to her breasts.
"Hey now, if you didn't want me looking at them, why would you put them up in my face? You might as well put blinkers on them!" I laughed. This is why I liked Stacy; she could take a joke and send it right back without getting offended. Although I'm not sure the next thing she said was teasing at all,
She smirked. "I never said I didn't want you to look, only that you are a perv!" She half whispered, leaning forward like it was a secret. She winked and then asked what I was going to make her drink.
"Oh, I have just the thing for you." I grinned. I grabbed a shot of Kinky Pink and a shot of Kraken Rum, gave it a shake in some ice, and poured it into a double-shot glass. I stuck a Jolly Roger umbrella in it and gave it to Stacy. "One kinky pirate for THARRR lady," I said, giving it my best pirate imitation.
"Oh, that's really good!" She said, "But why a pirate?" She asked.
"Because you have all that booty!" I said, laughing at my own joke, and Stacy busted out laughing too.
"Are you sure you don't have kids? Because that was a dad joke if I ever heard one!" She howled.
"Ok, ok, are you hungry?" I asked, "I still have plenty of pulled pork and brisket, or if you don't feel like that, I have some jalapeño poppers coming off the grill with creme cheese and chicken." I said.
"mmm give me some of that brisket; I am a growing girl!" She said this while slapping her ass. "Plus, you know I can't resist putting your meat in my mouth." She said it in the sluttiest way possible. But what was weird was that her cheeks reddened after she said that. I plated her up some brisket with BBQ sauce and some poppers and handed it to her.
"Go eat and have some fun! I'll ttyl kitchen closed in an hour!" I shouted as she walked away. I swear she was doing her best to swing her big butt around while walking away.
Soon after, I saw two beauties coming in. Immediately seeing me, they both headed over, smiling. Ashley and Kristin were so similar but so different. Ash was wearing a gown—something I would expect a person to wear to a wedding or a higher-end party than my backyard, at least. Her sister, on the other hand, was wearing some tight active wear that almost looked like a cheerleader outfit without the skirt. Both showed plenty of cleavage, with Kristin's showing more skin overall, but Ashley's hugged every curve she had, and trust me, that girl was nothing but curves.
"Good evening, ladies," I said in my best bartender voice. "What can I get you?"
"Hi Matt!" Ashley said, "You remember Kristin, don't you?" She said she was introducing her sister.
"Of course I remember Kristin! You look great! I haven't seen you in years!" You gushed. "Do you remember me, though?"
"Yeah, Matt, of course I remember you! You were like my sister's nicest boyfriend from high school! If she had just stuck with you, her love life wouldn't be in shambles right now." Kristin laughs. Ashley's face reddens.
"Kristin! That's enough; I made a few mistakes in my love life." She says it firmly to her. "Matt doesn't want to hear about that and doesn't care about it either." She says she is turning back to me with a big smile.
"I don't know any drinks," she says. Can you pick one for me?" "And me!" Kristin chimes in.
"Sure, let me think for a second..." I grab strawberry liqueur, orange juice, cranberry juice, and an orange. I mix them together and shake it with some ice. I cut the orange and turn an orange slice into a heart. I grab my toothpicks that look like little arrows and pierce the two halves together, sticking them on the edge of the glass for Ashley.
Then I grab Jägermeister, Peach Schnapps, and Pineapple Juice, one shot each, shake them with some ice, and pour it into a triple-shot glass for Kristin.
"Here you go, ladies. I tried to remember what you both liked to drink flavor-wise." You say. They both take. Sip, and their eyes light up.
"Oh my God, this is amazing!" They both say it in unison, then look at each other and laugh. "What's mine called?" Kristin asked.
"Well, I didn't pick the name, but that is one blond-headed slut shot you got there." I smiled.
"What! That is too funny; maybe you remember me more than I thought you did!" She laughs and blows you a kiss, skipping away to go dance and play games. Typical Kristin.
"And what is mine called, Matt?" Ashley says, grinning.
"Yours is called The Affair" looking right at Ashley in the eyes.
"Oh, but you don't choose the names, right?" She said it with a nervous giggle.
"I picked both of them out myself, Ashley. I told your sister that fib so she would leave us alone..."
"Why would you do that?" She said. Ashley has always been a bit bubble brained when it came to sex and romance in general; she is a sweet girl but also a "good girl." She wasn't exposed to the dirtier sides of sex and lust, at least that was the case back when you knew her better.
"Well, Ashley, you got me thinking the other day when you talked about your boyfriend cheating on you and you kicking him out. I couldn't help but think about the other similar relationships you have been in over the years." You look up from the bar and focus on Ashley's face to see how she takes what you say next. "You must know I have been in love with you most of my life." I said it as intensely as I could trying to impress upon her how serious my feelings for her were.
Her eyes somehow get bigger. "Matt, I mean, I know you had feelings for me in high school, but I thought you moved on. It's been almost 20 years since we dated. You are trying to tell me you had feelings for me that whole time?" She asked incredulously, and her face continued to turn red.
"Of course I did, Ash! I would have done anything to be with you, but time after time I watched the bad boyfriends come and go while I was your shoulder to cry on." I sighed. "This whole time I had been waiting here, being everything you needed emotionally but getting none of your affection..." you said. "It's one of the reasons I let you go and married Jen; I couldn't wait anymore."
"Matt, I am sorry you felt that way; we have been friends for so long that I didn't realize this turmoil was going on inside you. I'm sorry you felt like I ignored you and only used you as emotional support and didn't think about your feelings." She said, tearing up a little. Maybe she really didn't think I was interested in her; I guess it's possible. "I guess I never thought about the possibility you were sticking around because you were hoping to rekindle things between us..."
"Let me make something clear. Ashley, I am your friend; I would have helped you through the bad relationships regardless, but yes, I was hoping one day you would look at me and say, Wow, he has all the things those jerks I dated didn't. But that never happened." I said it with a little bitterness in my tone.
Here goes nothing. "Jen and I have agreed to an open marriage; we are able to bring others to the bedroom with us or sleep with anyone we want. We may have missed a chance to be together before, but I'll be dammed if I can let that chance pass me up again." I said it intensely. "Do you think you could feel that way about me again, Ash?" I whispered.
"Matt.... I just don't know why this is happening so fast. I came here because I wanted to see you. I knew I would have fun at the party because you would be here. Am I ready to have feelings for you again? I don't know. I think I need time to make a decision on how I feel about you and, even more importantly, about you being with Jen and me."
I was seriously considering using the voice of persuasion. When who shows up? At the worst time possible? Rita and apparently her sister, Dt. Madison Peterman, whom I did not invite to the party. Of course, the Dt. identified me right away, and they both headed towards me with friendly but intense looks on their faces.
Ashley was still facing away from them, and I panicked. Using the voice of persuasion, I pushed at Ashley, "Ashley, please go find and talk to Jen; tell her your concerns about being with me, and I want you to meet up with me at 10:30 p.m. in our master bedroom to continue this conversation. Do you understand?"
"Yes, I understand," she said while in the light trance. Her eyes came back into focus, and she said her goodbye right as Rita and the detective made it to the bar.
"Rita, it's good to see you. Thank you for coming." You said, looking at her in the eyes, "You too, Dt. Peterman. I hope everything is alright, and this is a social visit." You phrase it as a question.
Dt. Peterman is the one to answer. "Thank you for the hospitality, Matt. This is not an official police visit; no, I am off duty, but after speaking with Rita and realizing that the man she was telling me about who she had an amazing afternoon of sex with while at the hardware store was the same guy that hit on me the next day," She said "I knew you were trouble, and not the good kind like I was hoping." Her mouth twisted into a smirk. "I am here to observe and support Rita in whatever decision she decides to make tonight and to make sure she is safe." The implication there stung the worst.
"I think there have been a few miscommunications between the two of us." You started to say. "Rita, besides your company, I was hoping we could talk more tonight; and that you could get to know Jen and talk to her about any concerns you have about our relationship." I said, "I understand you're having second thoughts now that we don't have lust on the brain, but if you talk to Jen, she will tell you that this was her idea and that you were the first person in my head that I wanted to see if I could have another relationship with. It wasn't just a fling, and I don't mean to hurt you. I care about you and want you to be part of my life, but I understand it isn't for everyone, and if you decide you don't want to share or you have changed your mind about me, I won't stand in your way." You said trying to be as sincere as possible, and I meant what I said too.
I think Dt. Peterman's facial expression and body language still seemed standoffish, but I think she believed what I was saying. But she is no pushover. "Mr. Cole, that is easy to say, but how do you explain hitting on me at your mother-in-law's house the next day? If you were serious about Rita, why did you try to hit on me?" She said both with a bit of arrogance, like she had caught me in an unwinnable situation, but there also seemed to be genuine curiosity there too.
"Well, to be frank, Madison, can I call you Madison?" Dt. Peterman nods "You were the one who started the flirting, and yes, I flirted with a beautiful detective who was helping my mother-in-law in her time of need and someone who seemed interested in me and in my technical accomplishments. But I didn't ask for your number; you asked for mine. I understand now that Rita is having second thoughts about our relationship, and it looks bad that I was interested in someone else, but I haven't done this before. I had no idea if Rita would call me or even want to see me, so I didn't think it would be a bad idea to give you my info or my interest." I finished.
Needless to say, that took a little wind out of the detectives sails. "I do want to say that the fact that you care enough to come and protect your sister and confront me makes me like you that much more; it means you're a good person, and that's important to me." You finish.
Madison's face tried to remain upset, but she was a bit more stunned, I think. Her face got red at the last part, and Rita looked at her like she was hearing a whole different side of how this all went down.
"Ladies, I have some other people to meet with; please, please talk to Jen and let her answer any questions you have about how things would go from here." Unless you would like me to make you a drink before I go, you ask.
"I am not on duty tonight, so I'll take one," Madison mumbled. "Sure, Matt, I would love a drink." Rita said it with a smile.
I grabbed white rum, Amaretto, chocolate liqueur, and heavy cream. I passed it on to Madison.
I grabbed triple sec, tequila, grenadine, pomegranate juice, orange juice, lime juice, and an orange. Again, you cut the orange into a heart with an arrow through it, placing it on the side of the glass. Handing it to Rita.
They both tasted theirs, and as apprehensive as they first looked, I chuckled when they both lit up and asked what their drinks were called.
"Madison, you got an elixir of love" I thought you might need a sophisticated cocktail.
"Rita, you got a love potion #69" you said with a wink.
"I'll talk to you ladies in a bit." I said as I headed inside...
It's ok to be selfish sometimes right?
