On the third morning, the group was woken gently, by slowly brightening lights, colored in red, orange, and yellow shades, like a rising sun. The scene was a little disturbing, after they had witnessed a much cruder and sudden awakening just the day before. A blinking message in the store windows indicated that the room expansions were indeed for sale, the first one priced at $1000. The group convened to discuss the expansions over breakfast, and the mood was greatly improved compared to the day before. Frank didn't say anything to defend his former boss, and Ed didn't have anything good to say about the man either.

"I guess you're right," Jen admitted, laying her suspicions to rest. "Sorry for bothering you, Anne."

"Oh, it's fine, Jen. I know Tim must be bothering you a lot more while you're cooking. As soon as I get enough points to purchase another expansion, we'll move him out, okay?"

"That would be nice," Jen said. "And then maybe you could buy me an oven? I wanted to bake some pies, but without an oven…"

"Of course!" Anne smiled, looking forward to the pies. "We'll have the expansion and the kitchen finished by dinnertime tomorrow."

Jack silently ate his food, thinking about all the sex they would need to pay for the room and the oven. He was looking forward to later that night.
