Chapter 11
by

How to answer this question?
With the sound of footsteps
Jessica wasted no time and took off up the stairs. Her legs were already sore from her previous sprints and the a full day of work on her feet, but fresh fear of the man in front of her pushed her to movement. Behind her she heard the man shout after her, holding his axe high, beginning to chase her.
She tripped, landing on the sharp steps, pain shooting up her legs, but persevering, Jessica pushed herself up and continued her run, hearing the axe land where she just was. The man was mad. She was to be slaughtered like a common animal on the street. This fear brought her to the toes of her feet once she reached the top of the staircase. Her knees felt wet, and she knew the stairs had bit into her flesh. She entered the final street and continued to run. Risking another look over her shoulder, she could see the man follow her, but not as hurriedly. Her breath was very short now, but she could keep going, she was almost home. Ducking into her final alley, she slowed to the door. She began to knock on the door, but she noticed the knob gave, and the door opened.
"Oh Jessica, you made it home! Wait, you're short of breath, is that blood, what happened?" her aunt exclaimed, hustling toward her with worry obvious on her face.
Still catching her breath, Jessica turned around and locked the door. "Last shift. ", "Early hunt.", "Ran past beasts", "Tripped" Jessica panted, breathing before each fragment as she stumbled toward the couch.
"Hold on, I'll fetch you some bandages. Then you can help me take my medicine." Her aunt responded, surprisingly level headed.
Jessica had made it home untouched.
Sure running all the way isn't that sexy or anything, but consider this a tribute to how in near all souls games one can run all the way through the level.
Good ending- Speed run
