As Catherine continued parrying off the endless attacks from the demonic beasts, she began to think if this was really going to be the end of her, for the beasts were endless in number, and there was only so much he could do to stop them. So it was only a matter of when, not if, she was going to break.

"Forgive me, lady Rhea!", pleaded Catherine as she accepted her grim fate, while losing the fight with a tough beast.

Yet, just when things looked so hopeless, a certain mercenary lady suddently came from the depts of the forest to kill many demonic beasts with arrows, and save Catherine from that tough beast.

Catherine then looked up to see who was her savior, and it was none other than a camouflaged Shamir!, her more or less "rival".

"Looks like you needed some help", said Shamir in a serious yet teasing tone.

"How did you know we where here ?", Catherine questioned her.

"Rhea contracted me to scout the terrain in advance", Shamir explained, "trust me when i say these beasts are nothing to the ones i faced earlier", she boasted.

"Well, it's not like i need your help or anything, i could have easily kill those beasts alone", Catherined replied a bit annoyed.

"The how you looking tells me otherwise", Shamir joked and as she pointed out Catherine heavily damaged armour and ragged clothes, which were so tattered, that her breasts were almost exposed to her.

Catherine wanted to respond, however, before any of the two could continue the conversation, a wild demonic beast suddely attacked Shamir from behind, who easily defeated it, but not before the former left a giant hole in her shirt, exposing most of her back. Thus, reminding the two, that they were still in danger, and that they needed to clear a path out of the forest.
