Chapter 36 by The-Drunken-Bandit The-Drunken-Bandit

How do they react.

With disbelief and shock.

Looks on their faces said it all.

They didn’t believe me, and I can’t exactly blame them.

Moon was the first to respond to my proclamation as she her annoyance could be felt by everybody in the room.

“Very funny Mr. Frank. Now stop playing around and be serious with us!”

I could only lean back in my chair with an exasperated look on my face as exactly what I said what would happen happened.

They didn’t want to believe me.

“Queen moon I am being as serious as I as a heart attack right now.”

If anything, my response only aggravated her even more. For just as quickly as I answered her, she looked ready to cuss me out.

However, before she could begin her verbal lashing at me, Star decided to cut in.

“Prove it.” She said quietly which was surprising considering her normally excitable personality.

Moon had immediately whipped around to face her daughter at a speed that I thought would give her whiplash.

It was not just her own mother that immediately turned to face her, as both Meteora and Eclipsa quickly turned to face the young butterfly. As for the expressions on their faces Eclipsa could only raise a brow at the suggestion and Meteora didn’t know how to react, so she remained quiet.

“Star you can’t be seriously thinking of entertaining this man’s insane ideas! I mean simply the implications of- “

“I tried to call Marco.” Star immediately cut her mother off with a frightened voice.

“buh-what” Moon sputtered as star immediately continued.

“I tried to call Marco and all I got was a message that this number does not exist.”

Moon immediately try to reason with her daughter who now looked terrified.

“Star, Marco could have simply just changed his number and- “

“You got that response, because Marco Diaz does not exist in this world.” I rudely cut moon off.

Moon immediately snaps towards me with an angry look as she soon grips her fists tightly in anger.

“Shut up you! You- “

“Moon, darling stop.” Eclipsa immediately and calmly cuts moon off before she can start yelling at me.

“And why should I! You can’t seriously believe him Eclipsa!”

“No, I don’t moon, but we you need to look at the facts in front of you. We were all transported here via an unstable series of portals that none of us recognized. An suddenly we find ourselves in the home of a man who somehow knows a great deal about our culture and our history, more than any normal human on earth should know. If him knowing about dimensional scissors and calling you out by your namesake is any indication. Isn’t that right Frank?” Eclipsa questioned me with narrow eyes.

“That would be correct Eclipsa “the Queen of darkness”, daughter of solaria "The monster Carver", granddaughter to Skywynne “the Queen of Hours”.” I coolly respond and confirm Eclipsa’s suspicions which causes moon the sputter even more in disbelief.

However, this does not deter Eclipsa as she slowly stands up from her chair and walks towards me with the same suspicious look on her face. The others in the room looked uneasy as she began to walk closer towards me.

“How much do you know about us Frank.” Eclipsa questions me as now her suspicious glance has turned into an angry glare. This however does not frighten me because I have a strong suspicion in what she may ask next.

“Practically everything.” I tell Eclipsa as she now looms over me, her playful mood gone instead replaced with one of determination.

“Then tell me where. Is. My. Daughter!” Eclipsa grinds out as she puts her face uncomfortably close to mine.

“Eclipsa that’s enough! I don’t know what you’re thinking, but your daughter Festivia has long since died.” Moon quickly tried to defuse the situation, but instead caused only more confusion.

“Festivia? Who’s Festivia?” Eclipsa immediately pulled back from her impromptu interrogation and adopted a look of confusion as she looked at moon.

It’s at this point Star decide to cut in the hopefully clear up some confusion.

“You know Festivia your daughter, our great, great so on grandmother.” Star implied quickly and soon even Meteora joined in.

“Oh y-yes, p-princess Festivia-a she’s y-your daughter with P-Prince S-Shastacan.” Meteora stuttered out as Eclipsa’s eyes immediately turned to her in even greater confusion.

“What in magic are you talking about I never had a daughter with that Ponce.” Eclipsa muttered as her confidence and determination was slowly being replaced with fear.

“What are you- “Moon began, but it’s at this point I decide to cut her off as I got up from my chair with a napkin that I dipped in a glass of water.

“No Eclipsa’s right she never had a child with that pompous jackass.” I confirm to them as I pass Eclipsa as I begin to slowly make my way around the table. All the girl’s eyes are on me as I begin to make my way to my target.

“No, she had a child with her monster lover. A child that she unfortunately left behind. A child that was disowned, cast out, and abandoned by her rather pissed off Mewnian ex-husband.” I told them as I began to make my way closer towards my intended target. The tension rising in the room as I could see Eclipsa’s horrified face as I told her the fate of her child that she had lost.

“A husband who left this unfortunate child in the hands of a cold mechanical and uncaring caretaker. Who named her after the very last thing he called the child as he soon switched the child for an unknown peasant girl.” My words only elevated the tension in the room as I could see the easily growing horror on the faces of Star and Moon and the growing look of despair on Eclipsa’s horrified face. However, the worst of all was Meteora as I neared her, she looked terrified as I neared her.

“Eclipsa you asked me where your daughter was. Well you don’t need to look anywhere else. She’s right here.” Meteora freezes completely and goes still in shock as I put a hand on her shoulder and began to wipe away the makeup on her face revealing a purple playing card clover on her cheek.

“Your name isn’t Heinous Olga, it’s Meteora butterfly better known as “the forgotten” in this world, you are the daughter of Eclipsa butterfly. And I am truly sorry for what you've had to experience at the hands of that machine. ”

My words completely silence the entire room as this revelation is revealed to them.

Seconds pass complete silence. Then that slowly turns into minutes as I walk away and begin to clean up the table. All the butterfly Royals were frozen in shock.

Soon however as I pick up the last plate and put it on the empty tray. I see Meteora slowly turned her head towards Eclipsa who dared not move from the spot next to where I had sat at the head of the table and was staring at Meteora with wide eyes.

“Momma…?” Meteora’s eyes began to become watery as she gazed at Eclipsa.

There were no words spoken as Eclipsa immediately rushed towards and embraced Meteora in a bone crushing hug that was returned with just as much enthusiasm. I could hear the words whispered between the two of them as they held each other tightly.

“I’m sorry… I’m so sorry…”

“Mama…”

As I gazed at the tearful reunion with the dirty dishware on a big platter in hand I turned towards moon and star who looked at this reunion shell shocked at this new reality.

“Look y’all have a lot of questions I know, and I’m willing to answer many of them. Just not right now let them have their moment. Afterwards meet me in the living room and then I’ll explain everything to you. Just know this, you are real, what you feel is real, where you came from is real. You’re just on an alternate Earth within the multi-verse. One that is separate from your universe in every single way except through media.” With that said I left the room to wash the dirty dishes.

XXXScenebreakXXX

(couple hours later)

(living room)

It’s been about an hour or two since I revealed that little bombshell to the butterfly family and I’ve been sitting here in the living room watching TV waiting for them.

As I sit in the sunken couch and surf through the TV shows I hear the creaking of the floorboards as somebody approaches the living room.

I look over my shoulder I see that it’s the butterfly family. They still seem a little shocked and disturbed, but it looks like they pulled themselves together for the most part.

“Hey.”

“Hello.” Was the stiff reply of moon as she looked at me completely lost at what to do next as she took a seat in my nearby La-Z-Boy and sunk deep into the chair mentally exhausted.

Her daughter followed in after and gave a very weak wave as she plopped down into another section of the couch and stared up into the ceiling looking completely lost.

Then came Meteora and Eclipsa. The two of whom seem in far better spirits in comparison to the other two. With Eclipsa fussing all over her daughter and seem to be making plans for a girl’s night out. Meteora on the other hand seem highly embarrassed and slightly shy, but now she walked with a bit more confidence as she stood next to her mother.

“Now Dear, you have to be more confident when- Oh Frank hello!” Eclipsa greeted me as she and her daughter walked in.

The same cannot be said for Meteora for as soon as she saw me, she immediately hid behind her mother, much to Eclipsa’s exasperation.

“Oh, come now Meteora stop hiding! I’m so sorry about Meteora Frank she has a rather large cr- “

“Momma stop!” Meteora exclaimed in absolute embarrassment as her face flushed red.

I simply just waved this all off and gestured for them to take a seat on the couch.

While the two of them got situated I turned over to moon who was still… Spaced out shall we say…

“So, do you believe me now when I say that you all come from a cartoon world?”

Moon only groaned exasperated in response.

“Yeah… Figured you’d be like that.” I quickly turned over to Star to see how she was doing the whole revelation that she is a cartoon in this world.

“Okay, Star how are you taking all this?”

“Fine, just fine. My mind is just a little… Blown…” Star said exasperated with a far out look on her face as she stared at the ceiling.

Hmph… Okay then, what about you two? I do you feel about this little a revelation?” I turned to see Eclipsa and her daughter were sitting nearby on the other side the U-shaped couch.

Eclipsa only gave a shaky hand signal showing that she was in between on how to feel about all this. Her daughter on the other hand seemed far happier as she smiled at me.

“Okay then well if you have any more questions you can ask them now or later, but I believe it’s best if we set down some ground rules.” I told him as I began to explain some basic house rules while they stayed here.

1: They can’t use magic outside. This brought a lot of disappointment from Star who argued why not and I had to explain to her that everything these days is being monitored via satellite. An if she started firing off narwhal blasts left and right well lets just say the FBI would be very interested in my day-to-day going on’s. It is at this point that I gave her an example. That being the two magically created towers that I currently can see from outside my house. Which easily explained to her why I was so angry at her earlier.

2: They’re going to need more modern clothes. This really wasn’t an issue as most of the girls agreed that this was probably for the best. For the simple fact they all stood out like sore thumbs with their current outfits and that if they were essentially what counted as international celebrities on this earth, they would never be left alone the minute they walked out into the real world when people saw them. Though star argued against it because you wanted to wear her usual crazy outfits. Counter to that I told them that I’d be willing to pay for whatever outfits that they were willing to buy, much to the joy of the Eclipsa and Star... Oh, Boy I can already feel the pain in my wallet already.

3: Any experiments that they attempt to do in order to go home must be in the basement of the mansion. This one was for my sake really. I’ve seen what their magic was capable of and what it could possibly do to my home and I’d rather have it done in a place that I don’t really visit nor really care about.

These three rules are simple to follow and aren’t that complicated. Thing is it’s probably going to be a matter of time before either Star breaks them or Eclipsa does. I just feel it in my bones already.

Oh, it looks like Moon is recovered from her culture shock.

Sigh… Well this is going to be an experience.” Moon muttered to herself as she got up from my La-Z-Boy.

“Oh, come on Moon think this is a vacation! Trust me from my own experiences queen these types of chances are rare and far in between!” Eclipsa tried to encourage moon that was only met with another harsh glare.

Moon, quickly turned her attention away from Eclipsa and towards me and her daughter.

“Frank, if you need me, I’ll be downstairs preparing your Basement for the upcoming magical experiments needed to get us home. Later when night comes will you assist me in purchasing new clothes through this “Internet” as you call it?”

“Sure, no problem moon.” I gave moon a quick thumbs up. Which Moon gave me a quick nod before turning to her daughter.

“Star you will also need to be there with me when we start purchasing clothes so as you don’t purchase something that will give away who we actually are.”

Star could only groan in protest, before moon left the room and headed down to the basement.

It was at this point that I decided that it would be best if I left and repaired my study.

“Hey, I’m to go fix and salvage whatever is left of my work room. If you three need me, I’ll be in there.” I told the remaining three in the room. However, before I left Eclipsa asked the basics of how the TV worked and how to control it.

And with that I let the room and made my way down to my study to salvage what remained of some of my projects. As I left, I could easily hear Eclipsa and Meteora of begin talking again. Star on the other hand was still spaced out on the couch.

I can only wonder though…

What outfits will they buy?
