As everyone filed into place, Momo gave Izuku the extra headbands she had made, as well as the dy he had asked for, and he quickly mixed them up with the primary one Midnight had given them, and then proceeded to start tying them around his face and neck quickly. It honestly looked like he was trying to mummify himself. The one with the points was immediately flipped around, a few drops of the dye subtly applied to it, invisible until the right chemical came into contact with it.

"What does Midoriya seem to be doing?" Present Mic asked from the commentator booth, blinking behind his sunglasses, before he grinned, and looked at Aizawa. "Do you think he's making fun of you?"

"Don't be stupid, that's clearly not what he's doing," Aizawa grunted. "...at least, he damn well better not be as a side motivation... He clearly had Yaoyorozu make a bunch of blank, duplicate headbands, and is wearing them as decoys, making sure the side with the points displayed on the real one isn't showing. An impressive ploy, a very rational deception, taking full advantage of his teammate's abilities."

"Oh, the contest has yet to even start, and it seems like the ten million points will be hard to get!" Present Mic sniggered.

Bakugo ground his teeth as he glared in Izuku's direction as he listened to the commentary. "Damn it Deku..."

"...yeesh, we really sure we need to get the ten million points?" Mina asked Bakugo. "Having to play "eeny meeny miney mo" doesn't seem like the best idea... we can still get enough to get to the next round by going for the small fry..."

"Shut it! Like hell I'm letting Deku think he can get the better of me like this!" Bakugo snarled, and Mina sighed, glaring at Kirishima, who started sweating heavily.

"...this was YOUR idea," she hissed at him.

Meanwhile, Todoroki narrowed his eyes as he also gazed in Izuku's direction. "...clever," he acknowledged.

"It won't be a problem," Itsuka assured him. "We'll just have to grab all of them."

Izuku finished putting on the headbands, and then put on the infared goggles, as did his three teammates. "You guys ready?" he asked as ten seconds remained. They nodded resolutely, readying themselves and their gear.

"Begin!" Midnight shouted. Predictably, every other team on the field charged directly for Team Midoriya.
