Chapter 12

How will you calm down your wife?
With Love, Praise, & Reason
“Wrong...”
The rage Sheila directs at herself clouds your eyes briefly with your own anger. Therefore, a minute passes as you think what your next words will be.
You have an idea that they will be of monumental importance to Sheila. They are chosen with the most care you have ever felt towards anyone or thing.
“Sheila you are my wife, who I admire and respect enough to marry. You will eventually co-rule with me.
“You performed great skill in diplomacy with respecting the heritage and customs of our tribe.”
The ceremony had been ad-libbed a little to humiliate Sheila. Now that you achieved that with phenomenal success, it upsets you instead of satisfies. Convincing her to turn her anger and hate inwards is outside what you want.
“Only a truly wise woman can see past her own people's customs to see and act on what is the best action.” Your words served to also remind yourself of an ideal you seek.”
Sheila looks at you timidly but attentively.
With arms stretched out, Sheila is held out so you both can see each others eyes. “You choose to rise with me, instead of submit to me or anyone. Please trust that I have seen what a broken woman looks and acts like, and they are very far from being as beautiful as you.
“If you help me show your mother and sisters how you have risen. Your Reeza? May want to join us… if that is something you want.”
You pull Sheila’s head down for more pleasant kissing that she seems to thoroughly enjoy like a new desert.
Sheila’s lips break to form a smirk, “So this is were the multiple wives bit comes in." She smiling, however sadly, and is hugging you to her smaller breasts.
You saw her carrying a bow before and big titted Amazonian archers are known to cut off one breast to aid in drawing a longbow. Grateful you are of her having avoided that particular practice.
“Of course you will find Reeza as beautiful as I do, but she is known for killing the males she subdues for procreation.” Sheila tone and timbre leave little doubt that she is trying to tease you.
“However I’ve yet to deny Reeza a want she has found. So lets hope I get to enjoy my new husband a little longer.”
Sheila speaks of Reeza with a special kind of pride, and so that leads you to wonder what she will do.
Every ‘ambassador’ knows the profession has a high mortality, if not life changing rate. ‘Loved ones’ of said Ambassadors know this as well, and sometimes with more dread.
Yet when Reeza sees Sheila is with you 'willingly' as your wife... you wonder the choice Reeza will choose.
Walking over to your actual trophy display in your living room. They are a collection of valuable artifacts you have found in various military and exploration ventures with the tribe.
You find the engagement and wedding rings. You re-appropriated the rings from some newly wedded human royals who were to reckless and traveled to far into your territory.
Sheila looks stunned as you slip the white golden rings with a small set of small and a rather large polished diamond onto her finger smoothly. You are pleasantly surprised that they fit reasonably well.
“I do love you… Sheila, but I want my wife with me. Appearing before your sisters 'without' their ambassador with me, would undoubtedly be very bad and likely get us all dead.”
The rigid shudder that runs through Sheila’s mortal coil seems more from the idea of meeting her sisters still than the rings she now wares. If anything the rings seem to help her choose to be happier, ironically.
“Humans seem to attach more meaning to rocks and such, than us Goblins. I mean beyond it being money or weapons
“I suspect that Amazons are like their cultural cousins and love diamonds too. I believe these will abundantly help show everyone that you chose to raise your station in life.
“Most importantly Sheila, for them to see this. They want you to believe it first.
“You are undoubtedly one of their best warriors. I believe your ranking within our tribe will be the same, if not better…”
