Willow Schnee

The woman who replaced Port was fair-skinned with slate-blue eyes. She wore her white hair tied up in a bun, low on the right side of the back of her head, while her bangs were shaped around the left side of her face and a small, curled lock of hair reaching almost to her shoulders. Her attire consisted of a white cravat secured by a silver brooch set with a red stone, as well as a light purple jacket with light sleeves, a wide belt around her waist, a matching pencil skirt with black tights and slippers.

She looked so familiar and Jaune’s eyes instinctively turned to look at Weiss down the row. Yep, he wasn’t hallucinating, they looked way too similar not to be related. If this was her mom, things were bound to be interesting. Jaune didn't even plan this to be the case. It was all pure coincidence due to the book. The two of them did have one key difference besides age. Being a teenage boy meant Jaune’s gaze drifted down at an angle to the woman’s chest. Weiss seemed to have been forgotten in that regard. No wonder she was always so self-conscious about it.

The woman's voice didn’t instantly put Jaune to sleep like Port’s did, but she was speaking in a monotone and sounding like she didn’t want to be there. Jaune frowned at this. He meant to keep her personality the same, so they wouldn’t be boring during class. Weiss’ mom just seemed to be a different type of dull compared to Port. This at least explained why Weiss didn’t have a sense of humor.

“Man, Weiss.” Yang whispered to Weiss. “Can your mom actually show a little emotion now and then?”

“Shut up.” Weiss huffed, glaring at her. “She’s giving us the information we need to know.”

“She does always seem depressed.” Ruby muttered.

“With Weiss as a daughter-...” Yang started to say, but Blake covered her mouth.

“Do you like Professor Schnee?” Jaune whispered to Penny.

“Oh, yes.” Penny nodded happily. “She is very knowledgeable about the subject.”

“Do you think she’s kind of… depressed?” Jaune asked cautiously.

“Hmm, her tone does indicate she may not be happy, but I don’t know if I can say depressed.” Penny frowned as she looked at Jaune. “Why do you ask?”

“No reason.” Jaune shook his head. He decided to figure this out on his own because it would be easy to do so. All it took was him writing a single sentence into the book and have it give him the answer.

Willow Schnee used to be happily married to Jacques Schnee until he admitted he only married her for her wealth and the Schnee Dust Company. After that, she fell into a spiral of depression and turned to **** to soothe the pain. (Due to earlier book entry, the following has changed in the world) After Weiss left for Beacon, Willow heard her son talking to her father about how he wished his mother would leave because she was so depressing. That was when Willow decided to take a page from her daughters and escape to put some distance from her Husband and the negativity. Using her high intelligence, she managed to get a job at Beacon teaching about Grimm as it’s a non-combat position.

Huh, Jaune felt bad for the woman. Especially against that asshole of a husband. No wonder Weiss was so guarded about herself and kept an icy exterior. He really got a deep glimpse into their family matters. Maybe he could use this to understand Weiss better, so she’ll open up to him. Though with the book, he could always have her fall in love with him.

Jaune shook his head.

No, he won’t make Weiss fall for him. Jaune wanted to earn her. So that was one entry he won’t make. He can satisfy his desires using other people. And Weiss’ mom was right there looking sexy as hell. Maybe he could help cheer her up in some way? But he just made Penny his girlfriend and Jaune wanted to do some stuff with her. Choices. So many choices.
