Master Alex decides it is time to inspect the duties and performance of his labor ****, William. Leaving the chamber where Nathan remains bound, he makes his way to the section of Theowood Estate where the labor slaves are tasked with various menial and demanding tasks.

"William," Master Alex acknowledges, his tone cool and authoritative. "I see you’ve been hard at work. Tell me about your duties and how you contribute to the smooth running of Theowood Estate."

William raises his head slightly, maintaining eye contact with the floor rather than meeting his master's gaze directly. "Master, I am responsible for all heavy labor within the estate. This includes cleaning, maintaining the grounds, repairing any damage, and ensuring that everything is in perfect condition for your comfort and convenience."

Master Alex nods, pleased with the thoroughness of William's response. "And how do you find your tasks, William? Are they challenging enough to keep you in your place?"

William swallows hard, careful to choose his words wisely. "Yes, Master. The tasks are demanding, but I am honored to serve and fulfill my duties to the best of my ability."

A smirk plays on Master Alex's lips as he regards the labor ****. "Good. I expect nothing less. Continue with your work, and remember, any sign of slacking will result in severe consequences."

With a curt nod, Master Alex turns to leave, but then pauses, as if struck by a sudden thought. "Actually, William, I have a task for you. The stables need mucking out and I expect it done before sundown. Understood?"

"Yes, Master," William replies promptly, his voice resolute. "I will ensure it is done."

"Very well," Master Alex says, satisfied with the labor ****'s response. "Return to your scrubbing, and do not disappoint me."

As Master Alex walks away, William resumes his arduous task with renewed vigor, knowing that failure is not an option.
