Wilbur Cross Parker, Spider Sovereign

In this universe, Peter was orphaned from birth and was adopted by the Parker family. His adoptive parents, Steven Parker and Julia Carpenter Parker could not have children, so they adopted several children over the years. In total, the Parkers have adopted and raised 2 boys and 5 girls, including Peter.

Steven and Julia Parker were both scientists working for Fantastic Solutions Inc., which was owned by the parents of Reed Richards, who would go on to become Mr. Fantastic after an incident in space. The Parkers specialized in genetic engineering and they worked extensively with spiders, trying to combine various traits to make a super-spider.

One day, when the Parkers were giving their kids a tour of mommy and daddy's cool, state-of-the-art lab, a jealous, disgruntled co-worker triggered an incident which caused Julia and the kids to be trapped inside the super-spider nursery chamber. Hundreds of gamma-irradiated super-spiders in the chamber were then released from their terrariums. As Steven Parker worked feverishly to open up the chambers, his wife and kids were each inevitably bitten by different radioactive super-spiders.

Finally, with no other choice, Steven triggered the failsafe to douse the chamber with insecticide, killing all the radioactive super-spiders. Once there were no more escaped spiders detected in the chamber, the lab systems released the locks and allowed Julia and her kids to be brought out for immediate treatment.

The disgruntled employee responsible for the egregious incident was arrested, prosecuted, sentenced to prison. However, with all the super-spiders eradicated, the project was subsequently canceled and Steven and Julia were assigned to other projects.

To Steven Parker's relief, medical checks soon indicated that his wife and children were unharmed from the incident. However, unbeknownst to him, Julia and the kids soon experienced changes to their bodies and developed spider-like abilities.

Worried that her children might end up as lab rats, Julia Parker kept her mutation a secret from her husband and made her children promise to do the same. She began supervising her children's growth and development while forbidding them to use their abilities in public.

However, all that changed when Steven's father, Ben Parker, was beaten into a coma by some neighborhood thugs which Julia and her children chose to ignore for months due to not wanting to attract attention. Ben Parker was a beloved member of the family and adored by his grandchildren. That event changed Julia's stance on staying passive and hiding their powers from society. She realized that with great power, comes great responsibility. Thus Julia started guiding her children to use their powers to actively fight crime and help people.

As a gifted, high-level scientist in the most innovative tech company in the world, Julia had many resources at her disposal. She developed state-of-the-art spider suits for herself and her children to keep them anonymous and help them better use their gifts. She also developed reloadable web shooters for everyone, which utilized a special web fluid of her own concoction.

Years went by and the Spider Family was thriving, somehow able to serve as friendly neighborhood crime-fighters while completely maintaining their anonymity and leading normal lives on the surface. Having a big team played a big part in helping keeping their secret lives manageable due to the even division of responsibilities.

To date, the Spider Family consisted of:

Julia Carpenter Parker, 32, as Arachne / Lady Web. Gifted scientist, loving mother, and leader of the Spider Family.

Peter Parker, 18, as Spider-Man. The most publicly recognized hero on the team and by far the most popular among the city's inhabitants.

Jessica Drew-Parker, 18, as Web-Girl.

Anya Corazon-Parker, 18, as Spider-Girl

Gwen Stacy-Parker, 18, as Ghost Spider

Mary-Jane Watson-Parker, 18, as Crimson Spider

Cindy Moon-Parker, 18, as Silk Spider

Wilbur Cross-Parker, 21, as Spider Sovereign. Eldest of the spider children. He is the least publicly recognized member of the Spider Family due to his infrequent participation in crime-fighting activities. However the young man received the power of the infinity stones when he turned 18.
