Where will the kids go to school?

“Yes, you see… Children all very little still. School was cancel due to situation, but need school still…” he paused again and there was a glint in Oz’s eyes.

He was considering the options which Juan might take, but in his head this was one of the best ones. The others being a little bit more surreal about him willingly giving up his wife, no questions asked. But this was a little more of what he expected a family-oriented man, a father, to ask suddenly. He felt that Juan might still have a clue about the game he was playing, but the question was one way or the other, at the right place and the right time for him.

“Yes, mi amigo. Children need a proper education. There is a school about ten miles away from here. Elementary education shouldn’t be a problem. We will worry about the rest of their education once we cross that bridge, right? Haha.”

“So they go school?”

“Of course. But not at the moment. The school is closed due to the circumstances, but I think I can contact them and let them know that I have three smart little fellows waiting to join their school. A guy I know is teaching there, so it shouldn’t be too hard to convince them. Actually they will probably welcome you with open arms as they don’t have enough students.” Oz explained with a rather long monologue.

Maria was relieved and almost moved to tears upon hearing what Oz said and understanding most of it. She was glad they came here, or at least the negative emotions she had felt were pushed out of her mind. Juan looked rather happy as well.

“Thank you master Oz. Very kind you. Children!” and he told them briefly what was discussed. Some of them had a bit of a sour expression due to school not being their most favorite thing in the world, but were overall glad that they would have the opportunity to meet other children and have something to do.

After this rather heartfelt conversation Oz asked Maria to clean up the table. It was an easy job of rounding together the disposable wrappers and other things of their meals. Once she finished it, they noticed that it was almost nine in the evening.

Maria told Juan that she needed to bath the children and then take them to bed. She told Juan to go ahead and wash himself first. He was somewhat sure that nothing would happen as the children would be around Maria, so he agreed and went ahead to take a shower.
