As you approach the door another loud bang sends the door shaking in it's hinges, who ever is on that other side clearly wants in badly. With how close you are to the door the noise of the last 'knock' is enough to stop you in your tracks due to the ringing in your ears. Just then your blood runs cold as you feel a hand grab your shoulder tight.

You turn to see Sam's face, shaking and filled with fear, hunched down to your level. His eyes stare into yours to silently plead before another bang shakes him from his silence. "That isn't a knock" Sam whispers hurridely to you, the desperation clear in his voice."thats someone trying to break the fucking door down. We should hide."

Sam has managed to survive this long by playing smart so youd be a fool not to believe him and, as another knocks starts to crack the door, it's obvious he's not wrong. Whoever is on the other side is about to break through and soon. Fight or Flight time and you do not have the luxury of time to make up your mind.
