Chapter 66 by Funatic Funatic

What now?

What a lovely Tuesday it has been.

Aclysia went back to researching stuff she wondered about afterwards while John and Rave went back to her room, hung out until evening rolled around. He swapped out his clothes, leaving the old ones in Rave’s washing machine, for his school uniform before heading for the exit.

“So, its fine if Aclysia stays here?” He asked as he put on his shoes. “Don’t ya worry about it. My daddy won’t make a fuss.” “Unlike my mom.” He sighed. He could see his mom riddling him with questions if he turned up with Aclysia in toe, it wasn’t helping that she addressed him with ‘Master’ now. “Well, she ain’t part of the Abyss so ya gotta live with that.” Rave shrugged, “That’s just how cookie crumbles.” “I guess.” John sighed. Rave laughed, “Hey, I like this arrangement. As long as she stay here I get to command her around right?” “Yes, and as you hardly wrestled from me you get to make a single command that goes over mine in any situation.”

John tightened his laces and stood up. He turned to Rave and gave her a goodbye kiss. “See ya tomorrow at school.” She said and smiled. “Yeah.” He smiled back as he left the building. When he left he felt like everything was going his way. And for the most part he was right.

The next day he apologized to Victoria, she accepted and they went hunting again together, although only sometimes. He also told Travolta about his Observe powers. The big guy only snorted and told him to fuck off unless he wanted something. John gave him the money he owed him.

He hung with Rave and Aclysia or learnt for tests more than he trained. Partly because of all the sex he could have, partly because he wanted to make sure his grades were okay but mostly because he felt he was at a pretty safe spot right now. Like this the days rolled by until the month turned over and his mom left for Washington.

Aclysia moved back to his house and things got pretty laid back. Tests proved laughably easy and after a few more tries the Tree of Life wasn’t more than child’s play, even when Victoria wasn’t around. All was going well and nobody was in danger.

Of course, things were bound to change.

Authors Note:

I know this isn’t exactly interesting but describing these events isn't terribly fun either. The pacing is better of when I sacrifice some boring stuff right here to get to the juicy bits. At least I think so.

Here are the Stats of John and others after the time skip.
