“…” Vinny’s mind jammed, and he couldn’t think of a quick enough reason for why Daniel could be allowed inside his hotel’s bathroom.

As Daniel went to put his hand on the bathroom door to open it, the door suddenly burst open with Alexa standing right there.

Fuck! They’d been caught. It was all over for the pair of them. And Alexa and her marriage to Daniel, for that matter. “Daniel, I can explain…” Vinny tried to begin.

Daniel shook his head in confusion at seeing his soon-to-be wife in Vinny’s room. “Alexa. What are you doing here?” he said in a completely muddled voice.

Alexa’s face turned thunderous. “What am I doing here? What I’m sure as hell NOT doing here is telling one of my best friends how terrible our sex life is!”

“Alexa, I...,” Daniel stammered.

“And I’m sure as fucking not telling him that I fake all my orgasms,” Alexa continued, not allowing Daniel to get a word in.

Vincent felt deeply awkward to be stuck in the room, witnessing this quarrel between the pair.

“That’s not what I meant…”

“Oh, and what did you mean? Did you mean to come in here and get Vinny to fuck me? Is that it? Is that what you wanted?” Alexa pushed past Daniel and into the room. “Or maybe you wanted me to just bend over this bed right now and let Vinny slam me from behind?”

“Alexa! No!” Daniel shouted.

“Just go! Get out of here. I don’t even want to see you,” Alexa said as she stood back up and came to stand next to where Vinny had been trapped during all of this.

“Alexa. Baby. Please!” Daniel came towards her with his hands out in supplication.

Alexa turned away from her fiancé and around towards Vinny. “Would you take me out of here? Somewhere else? I don’t want to be here right now.”

To his eyes, she looked deeply hurt and upset. Even with full knowledge and being an active participant in their affair, Vinny found his heart catching in sympathy for the troubled-looking girl. Vinny held up his hands and mouthed ‘I’m sorry’ at Daniel.

Alexa’s near husband must have admitted defeat as he began to walk past her in a daze. It was only as he got to the door and turned back that he asked, “But what about the wedding?”

“There’s not going to be any wedding. The wedding’s off,” Alexa announced.

Daniel’s mouth hung over wordlessly before escaping just as he was about to break.
