Chapter 5 by zewesman zewesman

"You think you know the Juyo form, child? I'll show you a true master's use of it!" barked Harkun.

Wes versus Harkun

“Begin!” roared Harkun as he rushed Wes, his speed enhanced through the Force. Wes, not one to be easily scared, charged at Harkun with his own Force Speed. The two’s blades quickly met, sparks flying as the laser blades of the vibroswords collided with each other.

“That all you got, old man?” taunted Wes as he slowly began to push the vibroswords back towards Harkun’s face. Harkun shifted his weight and dug his feet into the ground in order to gain the leverage he needed to stop the young acolyte's push of their weapons. With his foundation firm, the elder Sith reached his hand out and called upon the Force to tear a piece of rock off from the surrounding rock face. A crooked smile grew on the Overseer’s face as he watched the jagged rocks fly towards the back of his student.

Wes gave his opponent no facial expressions of what he was doing to counter Harkun’s newest attack, or if he even acknowledged that Harkun had summoned rocks to impale his back. Instead, Wes just stared directly into Harkun’s eyes. Instead, all Harkun saw was the vast amounts of anger and rage hidden deep in this young Sith acolyte, powerful enough to fuel a properly trained Sith Lord to glory.

“Now!” Wes said allowed as he performed a backflip, narrowly dodging the rock pieces as they passed underneath him. Harkun, realizing what had happened, quickly tried to deflect the stones with his vibrosword. The skilled Sith was able to deflect all but one, which scrapped along the right side of his torso.

“ARGH!” cried out Harkun as he gripped his side with his free hand. He looked up to see Wes land on his feet, completely unscathed from the attack. Wes, knowing his opponent was injured, rushed to take advantage with a quick lunge at Harkun.

Harkun waited for Wes to get close, close enough for Wes to start his swing, when Harkun countered. With a quick inhale, Overseer Harkun let out a deafening scream, the force of which sent Wes flying back. With a few quick punches on his wound, Harkun once again grabbed his weapon with both hands and charged.

“This will teach you!” yelled the angered elder as he leaped forward, his vibrosword primed for a strike.

“Already know that move,” replied Wes as he rolled over and used Force Push to send his teacher flying backwards. Both men scrambled to get to their feet and summon their respective weapons to their hands, readying for more combat.

“You truly are his son. Your skills are excellent for your age. But don’t think that means you can beat me!” With his compliments done, Harkun resumed his attack. Wes, not saying a word, charged at his teacher. Both of them ran through their scenario of how to beat the other and prove their superiority. Wes struck first, with a Saber Throw at Overseer Harkun. Harkun countered by flipping over the blade, which is exactly what Wes wanted.

“Got you now!” yelled Wes as he performed another Force Push at Harkun’s location. Harkun, not one to easily fall for the same trick twice, Force Pushed towards the ground, the force of which shot him up into the air, easily dodging Wes’ own attack. “What?!” cried out the surprised attacker as Harkun’s weapon came flying down, right towards Wes’ head.

“Shit!” was all he could get out before Wes barely dodged the weapon, which dug itself a few inches into the ground. Right as Wes regained his footing after he dodged, he felt something sweep his feet and force him to the ground. He saw as he fell another vibrosword glide across the air and into the hands of Overseer Harkun.

“Insolent boy, you still have much to learn!” he said as he raised his free hand towards the inexperienced Sith. “You lost, so take your punishment!” cackled the harsh teacher as Force Lightning erupted from his fingertips and made their way to Wes.

“ARGH!” yelled Wes as he felt the pain as unknown volts of energy coursed through his body, touching every nerve, and showing the young Sith pain he never thought possible.

“Let this be a lesson to you all,” said Harkun, who blasted Wes with another wave of Force Lightning. “Only challenge me if you truly think you can beat me. Only attack if you have the advantage or if you are stronger than your opponent. No Sith that I have ever seen ever helped someone out of the kindness of their heart. You help someone because you need something from them or plan to use them in the future. Only the foolish Jedi will help someone out of the kindness of their hearts, or fight a stronger opponent with no tricks to give them the advantage. And that is why the Jedi will lose this war! That is why they’ll lose this war! While we march onward to victory, the Jedi will be bogged down helping those that are lost or not worth it! I guarantee you, Rissa, the boy saved you for some reason. I suggest you find out why sooner rather than later,” finished Overseer Harkun. “Class dismissed,” said Harkun as he turned to walk away, the class applauding his rousing speech against the Jedi.

“Are you ok?!” asked Rissa as she rushed to her savior’s side. Her hands caressed his body in an attempt to find any injuries he had. Wes could not deny her soft hands felt nice on his skin.

“I...ah...am ok,” Wes told the worried Sith as he slowly got up. Rissa let him rest on her shoulders as she assisted him. Wes’ hand found its way to the girl’s hip as he got himself on his feet. Rissa could only blush a little bit as she felt a hand on her.

“S-so, why did you help me?” she asked Wes, who was now on his own two feet.

“Simple. Your face is far too pretty to be roughed up by that asshole,” Wes told her with a smile. Rissa’s face turned a bright red from Wes’ words as her face turned away so he couldn’t see her.

“I-I see. Well, thank you!” she said with a slight head nod in his direction.

“You’re welcome, Rissa. Let me know if anybody is giving you trouble. I’ll handle them for you,” he told Rissa before he turned and left to his room.

“Bye bye and I will!” she shouted to him as she waved to her savior. Foolish man. Mother was always right, act innocent and helpless and men will jump in line to help you. Don’t worry, Wes, we’ll be seeing each other a lot through this academy. You’ll do all the work and I’ll take all the credit. It’ll be a shame when I have to kill you near the end. But a lady’s gotta do what a lady’s gotta do to become a Sith Lord. Rissa’s face couldn’t help but contort into a twisted smile as she found her latest pawn to help her achieve a position that would show off her glory.

"Who are the current acoyltes on Korriban?" asked a voice hidden in shadows to his assistant.
