-this story will be short and semirealistic, including some triggering kinks like ****, but built in a healthy way. The characters are made up and dont resemble anyone in real life. One week later, Hailey and her mom are finally allowed to come home, which proves to be quite difficult. Hailey decided to continue her studies at home, having to take care of her mom, and has spent this week preparing the house to be suitable for her, softening any hard corners, moving unnessacary carpets and coffeetables from the center of the room, and making sure everything has a single place in the room connected to the walls, nothing to be bumped into on accident.

"Thank you for letting me lean on you, you have been such a great help. The doctors at the hospital were great, but you have been my angel, im glad to be back home with you honey."

Clarissa says as she hugs her daughter and tries to kiss her on the cheeck, ending up a little closer to her nose then expected.

"Im just glad you are okay, mom. I didnt realise how much you meant to me untill... well... i didnt know there was an accident. I would have come earlier if..."

"Hey pumpkin, im okay. The phone was smashed and you lazy mom was sleeping for 48 hours, it is not your fault they couldnt contact you early enough. Stop blaming yourself, i cant wait to see, or... you know... feel, what you have done to our appartment."

Hailey looks up at her mom and gives her a slight smile, before realising she needs to be a bit more direct now that her mom cant read her expression.

"Thank you, i... i needed to hear that. I mostly moved the smaller stuff to the wall, i can help you with that, but the couch, tv, and dinnertable is all still in the same position. Your muscle memory should know or easiley learn where those are. I even made these little markings so i know where to put things like the remote so it will be in the exact same spot everytime you try to find something."

She explains everything she has done to the appartment, after that Clarissa talks about the car accident and her experience trying to learn these new tricks and systems in her phone. When the time hits 6 in the evening. The new striking clock takes some getting used to, but it has its charm.

"I cant realy cook, so i ordered some sushi for tonight, i hope that is okay. I have been eating at miss Bonhaus this week, but i wanted it to be the two of us for the first time."

Hailey feels a bit guilty, umable to properly boil an egg and make dinner for her mom.

"Dont worry, HayHay, at the hospital a doctor gave me a recipe book in braille, and it had a lot of tips to be able to cook as a blind person, it takes some setup, but soon i can get back to my hobby again. Im not letting some little mishap stop me."

"Realy? That is awesome! I cant wait to see you make that work, i cant even..."

"...boil an egg while having both your eyes? I know, mommy wont ever stop caring about you."

"Mom, stop it, im an adult."

Hailey saw Clarissa smirk, even blind her mom could tell she was still enjoying to be taken care off, even if she does almost everything on her own now.

Their conversation is stopped when they hear the doorbell, and Hailey moves to open the door.
