"Look what I got team!" Ruby cheered as she swung open the door to their room while carrying a cardboard box roughly the size of a suitcase.

"Is it money to repair the hole you just busted in our wall?" Weiss asked sarcastically while pointing at where the doorknob had smashed from the **** of Ruby's entrance. "Because I am done footing the bill for these constant damages."

The younger huntress in-training chuckled awkwardly before immediately trying to shift focus by presenting the object she had brought with her. "It's a box!"

"Here's to hoping there's something inside it." Blake remarked as she turned a page of the book she was reading.

"Don't act like you wouldn't enjoy playing with it~!" Yang joked, only to get pegged in the face by an eraser as a reward.

"So you've got a box." Weiss said as she followed Ruby over to the desk where the younger girl placed the parcel down. "What's so special about it?"

Ruby puffed up her chest with pride. "That remains to be seen!"

"Well I for one am certainly waiting for the punchline to this situation." the blonde of the team opined as she glanced over in Ruby's direction. "How could you be excited when you don't even know what's inside?"

Patting the box triumphantly, Ruby explained. "As it so happens, I ran into a team of third-years while I was studying in the library who asked if I'd like to join them for a card game. I wasn't too sure at first, but they said whoever wins at a game of old maid would be given the contents of this box as a prize!"

For some reason, Yang looked completely dumbfounded at the revelation. "Seriously?"

"You look pretty surprised Yang." Blake spoke upon seeing the blonde's mouth hanging open in shock. "I take it your sister isn't that good at card games?"

"I've met seven-year-olds with a better poker-face than her."

"I guess luck was on her side then."

"So, are we going to actually open this thing up and see what you won?" Weiss asked as she tapped the box.

"Of course!" Ruby explained as she started to unfold the top.

"By the way, what was the name of the team you met?" Yang asked as she and Blake walked over to join in the unveiling.

"Team PVRT." the scythe-wielder answered as she revealed the contents of the box.
