Chapter 29

Is he going to step in it?
Well Deserved Rewards
He needed more resources. He needed more minions. **** but to go back to the enchanted fucking forest. Baal grabbed Suo first. The slime could train later. He also took the scavenger and trickster from the arena. He briefly considered taking the large goblin with him, but as the newest addition, he needed the training and experience the most. The orc made sure to restock their potions and grab the best tools currently available as well.
The orc wasn’t happy with the idea of leaving the dungeon. If any adventurers reappeared they would be under defended and ****. But he couldn’t afford to put off resource gathering either. He needed more wood and metal to expand. The minions needed to train to gain experience and skills. Going himself was the best of the bad choices available to him.
It was almost hard to believe, as much as had already happened on this busy day, but it wasn’t quite yet midday as the small group set out. They mined the few boulders available on the way down the mountain. The metal pickaxes made a world of difference instead of tapping or even using the hammer. It only took a few swings for the resource point to spit out everything it had and begin cooling down. From the pop ups that flew by it also looked like the quality of the drops had also improved, more scrap ore and gems and less stone.
The forest was also livelier today. They stayed close to the mountain where he could find both stone and wood resource points, but even so there was no shortage of encounters. The animals of the forest were restless. Monsters were out in numbers though it was mostly the vegetation type, the ambushing vines and small mobile shrubs, tiny cousins of the more powerful trents. But these monsters didn’t even pose much of a threat to his goblins at this level. For the orc they were little more than an annoyance to clear from his path. Barely worth the effort of casting his new spells.
The scavenger and trickster split off to hunt the agitated game that was moving through the forest. The slime stayed behind with him, while the orc took care of resource gathering himself.
His new ability to identify whatever he was looking at opened a whole new world of items. He didn’t need to look for the small tell tale sparkles any more, labels floated everywhere, identifying every single resource down to each useful blade of grass. With the increased harvesting ability of his tools, his inventory was filling as quickly as he could move.
Suddenly adventurers made much more sense to Baal. If they had this same vision, or something similar to it, it was no wonder they were pillaging lunatics grabbing at everything. He also realized how sadly futile so many of his past attempts to hide from them had truly been.
He had several sporadic encounters with unaligned goblins. Hunters or gatherers from other tribes, neither friendly nor hostile, would pop into his field of view, menus floating above them as they moved stealthily through the forest cover. However the wary goblins ignored any of his attempts to communicate and retreated as soon as they realized they had been spotted by the powerful orc.
Before long the orc had filled his now expanded inventory even with the bounty of building materials automatically moving to the dungeon inventory. He had even stopped interrupting the slime from eating the random little flowers and mushrooms it investigated. Why bother when there were dozens more in each direction he looked.
He had spent lifetimes studying the flora and fauna of the forest but in a single day his knowledge had grown exponentially. The ease with which he could accumulate items was almost laughable. He sent Suo to retrieve the two hunters while he examined the stacks upon stacks of materials in his inventory. Even if the goblins hadn’t been successful in their hunt, he had enough fruits and vegetables to keep his minions fed for weeks. Then of course were all of the crafting materials.
He was checking the information on one such item
Dryad’s Truffle (rare)
An incredibly rare and delicious fungus with a pungent aroma. One of the primary components for {Edit. Item removed}
It was an ugly misshapen thing, with a thick stinky smell to match.
The orc's reading was interrupted by the sounds of something quickly crashing through the underbrush towards him. It burst through the forest in a mad furry, rushing towards him, or more accurately the item he still held in his hand.
Level 10 Boar
Animal, Pig, Non-explicit

Strength 15
Dexterity 20
Stamina 15

Baal didn’t bother to stand or even grab his staff. He barely registered the intrusion as he flicked his wrist towards the beast. The electric current arced from his fingers and connected to the boar, immediately stopping its charge as its body went numb. It slid as its legs gave way and it fell to the ground, and a second later defeating it with small system fanfare. Even as the hairy pig died, his magic suddenly arced up into the tree above, adding two small squirrels to the **** toll as they fell to the ground with muffled thumps.
As he watched the critters twitching and smoking, already dead but muscles still working, the orc decided he liked the new spell. he returned his attention to his inventory, checking the large stacks of familiar items and reading descriptions on several new ones.
The hunters had only found modest success in their short time to hunt, a rabbit and two birds; but Baal had intentionally left the boar untouched for them to butcher with their skills. All in all he considered the day a great success.
They didn’t take any detours as they headed back for the dungeon, but neither did they rush. The orc still rather hoped to gather more minions. If he had his say, he would have like something more intelligent or imposing than another group of goblins, but at the moment he understood he needed whatever able bodies he could find. He also continued to indulge the slime, letting it roam about devouring rather than harvesting items that wouldn't have fit in his inventory anyway.
The sun was just beginning to drop as they made their way back through the trails to the dungeon entrance. In the end they hadn’t found any monsters that were willing to stay around long enough to be recruited, but neither had they encountered any hostile monsters or more adventurers. That was a trade the orc was happy to make.
As he rounded the narrow crevice leading to the dungeon doors, he was glad there was no web or other giant insect waiting for him. There was however the corpse of a goat and another stack of rocks left like an offering at his front door.
This was getting weird. Adventurers certainly wouldn’t be leaving him gifts. Monsters like the slime and the bugs had waited around for him. But clearly someone not only knew where he was, but wanted to ingratiate themselves to him. So who was doing this? They hadn’t passed anyone or anything in the trail leading to the dungeon.
He had the minions deliver the food and supplies they had to the kitchen and storage. Meanwhile he went to interrogate the goblins on watch. It was little surprise, but they were no help. Each swearing that nothing had come or gone on the trail other than his own group. He considered publicly beating them for their insolence. Falling asleep on the job or simply ignoring their duty was bad enough, but to compound the failure by lying to him. He was angry. But rather than lash out in his anger he withdrew. As much as it might relieve his frustrations to flog the minions, it wouldn’t truly help matters. In the end he ordered no food for the two on watch and moved on with his business.
He dumped his own item stacks into the store room, and checked the current balance. He had greatly increased the amount of wood stored, and roughly half was the higher quality rarer type. A lesser amount of scrap ores had been gathered, but it was more than enough to complete a few of the pending room construction sites. And he was pleased to see a new bronze piece had been added from the dungeon as well. Finally there were also five new gemstones that would need to be identified. Unfortunately it seemed his new identification ability didn’t quit replace the appraisal table as he couldn't identity the gems, and until the upgrade was finished the table was inaccessible.
Speaking of upgrades, the earth elemental was hard at work, but the progress of upgrading the crafting rooms was very slow. Despite their lesser skills, the two goblin builders had made much better progress expanding the altar room into a throne room. But even they needed more time to finish.
With nothing more productive to do in the evening, he went to the improved training grounds. He had already sent Suo ahead, even if it didn’t get any skills, the slime needed the experience and levels. Feathers had worked the rest of the goblins hard all day, and though they had all made some progress, it seemed the gap in training their new skills was wider than ever. Higher ranks were just that much harder to achieve.
Baal might not gain any of the free experience, however, he did have the bare-handed and staff fighting skills to improve. He quickly found out for himself the difficulty of raising his staff skill to rank E. Even with the boost from the training grounds, and the additional growth from using his own superior equipment, the bar moved at a snails pace.
He lost himself in the monotonous repetition of strikes. It was only when Bunny and Ash interrupted him to call him to dinner that he checked his current growth. Barely even a quarter of the training bar had filled. At this rate it would take days to achieve a single rank, but at least there was progress.
Ashteroth waddled over to greet her father. The toddler wore a simple one piece dress over a thick diaper that caused the little green thing to walk like a duck. She only made it a few steps though before falling back onto her padded behind. Baal scooped up the tiny bundle as she let out a happy squeal.
“Did you miss your daddy?” He asked her as she yanked in his beard.
He started to leave the arena for the mess hall, but Ash squirmed and sputtered as he walked close to the equipment rack.
“Ba!” She exclaimed as she reached out.
“You want this?” The orc asked as he pointed at a wooden sword.
“Nnnn!” She responded puffing out her speckled green cheeks angrily.
Ok so not that one, he repeated with several other weapons until he landed on one of the simple training staffs.
“Da!” She squeaked, her eyes lighting up as he bought the stick closer.
“You want a staff like your daddy?” He asked the girl. “Do you want to know how to use it?”
Even the short training staff was ridiculously oversized for the halfbreed goblin child. As much as she might have liked the weapon, the child also lacked the complex motor skills to hold and swing such a large staff without dropping it. The orc did most the work, holding the staff in balance for her as she studied the training dummy.
“Da!” Ashteroth announced to her enemy.
“Da-da? Are you trying to say daddy?”
“Die!” The child exclaimed as she swung the staff as hard as she could into the inanimate target.
She hadn’t expected the recoil of the attack, the staff slipped from her tiny hands as she landed with a hard thump. The toddler sat stunned for a second before large tears welled up in her golden eyes.
The proud poppa didn’t even try to hide the massive smile on his face as he picked up his scowling offspring once again and squeezed her in a bear hug. She was so damn cute! And as upset as she may have been, Baal took notice of the small status bar that blinked above his daughter. It seemed even the child could improve herself.

Half-Breed - Racial Trait. While not as strong as those of their parentage, half-breeds gain racial benefits from both branches of their ancestry. Even though they are distant cousins, goblins and orcs rarely successfully breed due to cultural and size differences. A goblin/orc half-breed gains increased intelligence from their goblin parentage and increased stamina from their orc line. Though appearance varies between individuals, they are considered outcasts from both goblins and orcs, and because of their specific mixed monster race are particularly despised by humans.

Baal closed the window he had used to peak into his daughter. She was a tiny **** thing for now, but given time and investing enough resources...
Dinner proved to be more of the spicy stew the goblins seemed to throw everything into. However, Baal wasn’t going to complain. After so many lifetimes of simple tasteless meals, the chunks of meat and vegetables in gravy was practically ambrosia. The orc feasted as the goblins traded stories of their victory against the adventurers. Each retelling the stories got grander and grander until it seemed like the orc had descended into the hall riding a dragon to vanquish the cowering invaders.
In truth he knew they had gotten very lucky. Certainly he had prepared and everyone had pulled together in a great effort. But even a seconds difference here or there would have tipped the entire encounter beyond their control. And even all the traps and obstacles had barely slowed the blood thirsty adventurers down. He would need to quickly improve. But for tonight he allowed the minions to celebrate. Besides he liked the way Ash’s large eyes sparkled as she eagerly listened to the exaggerations.
After dinner, Baal checked the progress of the dungeon. The Pebble Person was still unwavering in its pounding construction. It greeted him with a faltering wave before quickly returning to its work, giving the orc a couple of quick glances as he watched its progress over its shoulder. Even the tireless elemental would take much more time to finish the crafting upgrades.
The throne room expansion had moved forward but only by about half. The orc wasn't happy with the lack of construction. After all, his own quarters was off limits until the throne room was completed. Rather than have the minions rest or train, he pulled everyone except those on watch to assist in completing the construction. There were a mix of stone and metal tools to be passed around, and some were simply reduced to the endless tapping, but progress increased.
The night moved slowly but even still it was nearly midnight before the group finished the great project. Instead of a circle, the altar room was now a large oval teardrop. Three fourths of the circle portion facing the altar were still covered by the terraced steps, however the stands ended as the room opened up. The path that connected to the finger of rock holding up the altar above the spire now lead down a long, slowly narrowing hall instead of immediately ending at his private suite. Instead of the rough cut large stone slabs, the finished room was carefully fitted and polished. Extra sconces and chandeliers lit the room. Empty grey banners and wooden placards occupied the spaces between filled arches waiting further expansion. And a long thin grey carpet ran the length of the hall from the altar to his doorway.
Baal opened the dungeon menu and found the unique item waiting to be placed. Another legendary relic. What powers would this gift bring? And what costs? First an altar to the dark ones and now a throne, there was a clear pattern. Though it would be nice if he could figure out what was unlocking them.
He dismissed the scattered thoughts and selected the chair.
Unique item available:
Throne of the Dark One
Again he had a wire frame model he could spin and manipulate before he selected the placement. He set the throne at the far end of the hall, just in front of the door to his chambers to block them from view. Baal presses accept and the heavy throne slammed into being. It looked as if it was carved from the same glossy black stone as the altar. The seat, back, and arms were worn slightly smooth but the rest was rough chunks of black stone. The entire thing sat in a slightly raised platform consisting of two steps only a few inches tall. Baal moved to sit on his new throne. It was... not comfortable. He squirmed slightly as he tried to find a better seat. The stone was cold and unyielding. But he cared much less for how it looked and felt, and more for what it could do.
Throne of the Dark One
Alert: Altar of the Dark Ones detected!
Throne will be upgraded to level II
The message didn’t even wait for him to acknowledge. The orc felt the chair shift under him pushing higher as the platform raised beneath. Beside him the outer edges of the throne also grew and began to slowly curve inward.
The whole process ended as quickly as it had begun. However, the assembled goblins fell to their knees at the display of power. Kowtowing before their lord with cries of admiration.
But Baal was more interested in the new menus in front of him than the adoration of his minions.

Baal stared forward at the illuminated message.
“My lord?” The old goblin approached the seated lord carefully.
“What?” The orc asked angrily as he shook the cobwebs from his head.
“Apologies my lord. It’s just you’ve been sitting there unmoving for some time.”
Some time? He’d only just sat down. Baal looked out at the assembled minions. Each goblin face was etched with some kind of fear or concern, though none but the elder had dared approach. Even the little slime was bobbing impatiently.
“It’s fine,” the orc covered. “Just examining what this chair can do.”
Rather than be named a liar, the orc quickly did just that. A new menu option floated in front of him labeled simply Domain. When he selected it, the room in front of the throne was suddenly filled by a large new window displayed so even his minions could see and marvel at the projection. It was a scale model of Mt Imporne and the surrounding forest. A section on one side of the mountain was dyed in blue. His dungeon he quickly realized. There were even status bars showing his current troop deployments and availability though at the moment it only showed the two lookouts and his reserve minions. The center of the mountain was a deep red, the domain of the Great Wyrm no doubt. Smaller bubbles of red dotted the high slopes of the mountain. Probably the kobold encamptments that followed and worshipped the Wyrm. High and around the side of the mountain there was another small section in orange. He had no idea what that was about.
Most of the mountain and forest were covered in a featureless black fog. However, there were several trails of displayed terrain that wrapped their way up the side of the mountain and down into the forest. They were random snaky things that wandered about and looped back on themselves and each lead back to his own dungeon. Though no other domains were identified. Baal realized these were the paths he and his followers had taken as they had hunted and gathered since the dungeon was founded. The map had filled in with their knowledge of the area. And as of yet he did not know of any other settlements, except for... he played for a few moments trying to get an idea of how to manipulate the size and scale of the map. Eventually he moved it enough to see the human settlement far down the main road to Mt Imporne.
Even though the village and road leading to it were featureless and covered in the same blanket of fog, it was an interesting ability to see these things. Honestlythough he had hoped for something grander. Still there was one other menu waiting for him. Baal selected the world magic option and a new selection appeared. The new screen was a simple bullet point list, and at the moment had a single entry. Plague. When the orc selected the spell for more information, the selection menu disappeared and was once again replaced by the area model. Now, however, there was a deep purple circle of color that followed his finger. The ring was smaller in area than his own dungeon but still more than large enough to cover one of the small kobold encampments. He considered placing the ring on top of the human village just to see what would happen, but he stopped himself. He could guess what plague meant, it would create some sort of disease in the area, but he didn’t know what kind or how powerful, or more importantly what it might cost him or if he could cast more than one and he’d loose the spell forever if he wasted it here. In any case it seemed like the throne provided a way to interact with the larger world. The windows vanished as soon as he stood. And when he checked the map option of his own menu, none of the throne’s abilities followed or worked for him unseated.
Baal dismissed the minions, even Bunny and Ash who wanted to follow him, and retreated back to his quarters. It had been a long day and he wanted to be alone. His private room looked the same even if it had moved somewhat. He did note that the blank tapestries on the wall had filled in a little. Rough pictographs of himself and the minions defending the dungeon from the adventurers and their beasts. Not that it looked like there was any practical effect but it was entertaining to have a reminder of his victory nonetheless. And now that he remembered...
The orc opened the dungeon menu and found the trophy that he had been awarded from the battle. A large dire bear skin rug appeared in front of the lit fireplace.
Dire Bear Trophy
10% increase in strength to all allies.
He might have considered how a single bear could give both a rug and the pelt he still held in inventory. But his mind was done with questions for the day. He unequipped his clothing as he fell back into his bed. Alone in the dim confines of his room, he shuddered under the realization of how close he had come to loosing everything this day. Adventurers knew where the dungeon was. Even if he had driven them back today, merciful and forgiving were not words he had ever associated with those lunatics. And if word got back to the one who had issued the vendetta...
Baal slowly drifted off into a disturbed slumber. At first his dreams were filled with scenes of impossible battles. Swarms of adventurers and monsters attacked him in waves, trying to take everything he had built. The minions were either dead or fled. It was only him against the world.
Eventually though, the dreams of war and **** settled. In their place a different battle had ensued. Single combat against a shadowed faceless exotic beauty. The stakes were not life and ****, but rather they became locked in a completely separate, though no less sweaty and exerting encounter. Their clothes had fallen away. Their combat had become an embrace. Their desperation now was a primal need for release. There was no gentle love making. There was a contest through sex.
He grabbed the woman’s hips as she rode him. She was slim yet soft. And so impossibly wet. The pleasurable sensations gradually climbed until they overcame his tired brain, dragging him back to reality. The fields of battle and corpses faded away, but the exotic beauty remained.
The orc’s eyes refocused in the dim light of his bedroom. The lithe woman continued to ride on top of him, gyrating her waist to change the angle of his penetration. She wore no clothing. Her physique was slim yet athletic. Smallish apple sized breasts with no nipples. Long hair that clumped together. Her face was deeply shadowed but he could still make out soft classically beautiful features and high cheekbones. And standing out the most, her long pointed ears.
He grunted as the elf picked up her pace, realizing her partner was now awake. Neither spoke. The elf adventurer had returned? And rather than **** she sought pleasure? Baal was supremely confident in his technique as well as the size of his member, but he very much doubted that the female adventurer would have returned just for this. But the waves of pleasure as she ground her plush pelvis against him were undeniable. He watched in wonder as the woman silently increased her efforts. The more his eyes adjusted, the more he realized he had been wrong about one thing. It wasn’t that the elf’s face was shadowed. Her face and her entire body were just very dark. A dark elf then? But dark elves tended to have bright hair and eyes, and every part of this elf was the same black monotone. His fingers dug into the soft flesh of her hips as he pounded deeper into her moist center. The elastic feeling brought back a memory but he was so close to his finish the more reasoning portions of his brain weren’t fully functional.
The dark elfish woman smiled down at the orc serenely as they both climbed towards orgasm. The rapid wet slapping and his grunts has been the only noises but they were slowly being joined by a low growing chirping from the woman. Her pelvis was a blur as he hungrily thrust his own hips upwards. Both were close now. He grabbed the soft body and slammed her down onto himself. Her tunnel pulsed and clamped down on him as he finally reached climax. Thick ropes of orc cum filled the woman as her tight cunt continued to methodically squeeze and milk every drop from him. If his eyes had been open he could have seen his spent sperm pooling and dissolving inside her. The dark elfish woman's mouth hung open as she arched back in her own release triggered by his load inside of her.
“Fu-uck!” The orc grunted deeply as his balls continued to contract and produce ever more cum to pack the nubile woman.
“Su-o!” The woman screamed as her climax washed over her, feeling her master fill her with his delicious seed.
