Well... things escalated quickly...

The divorce is a pretty messy one, although, fortunately, you live in a no-fault jurisdiction and aren't punished for your infidelity. Rebecca is awarded alimony on account of your larger earning capacity, but otherwise, your assets are split 50/50, which still leaves you with a handsome amount to live on.

Neither Steven nor Rebecca ever finds out that Gemma was the person you were cheating with, and you quietly sell the house and end up moving to your beach house, which you managed to keep a hold of.
