“How about this one?” Carol said holding up the novelty T-shirt from the rack. “Bangor? I hardly know her!” Debbi read “Nice.” turning back towards the rack and shaking her head, increasingly losing hope that this airport gift shop would have anything suitable to wear. “Aw, cheer up Deb, we’ll figure something out.” Carol said with a half-smile.

The trip was not off to a good start, no sooner had the foursome arrived in Maine, then it had become apparent that the airline had lost all Debbi’s luggage. With the presentation just hours away, Debbi had nothing but the clothes on her back. Today the ladies were scheduled to speak before a national coffee chain headquartered here in Banger, hoping to convince them to adopt the new point of sale system at all their locations. The employee-owned business had requested the women give their pitch to an all-hands crowd, after which a vote would be conducted.

“You aren’t going to find anything here, and we’ve got to get moving.” Diane said, already perturbed “Let’s head to the hotel. We'll have to shower in shifts, with each room only having one bathroom anyway. So, while you and Carol shower, Aditty and I will head down to the shops and see if we can find you something to wear.” “Sounds like a plan!” Said Carol cheerfully, and the four women headed down to find a cab.

Back at the hotel Aditty waited patiently for the sound of running water before entering the bathroom. Debbi failed to hear the door as she sang along with the music emitting form her cellular phone, the water cascading over her nude form, blissfully unaware as Aditty collected all her discarded clothing from the floor, grabbing every towel off the rack for good measure.
